A TVLine exclusive preview for the first part of Better Call Saul season six has teased a nerve-wracking discussion between Mike Ehrmantraut and Gus Fring. Billie Eilish has officially announced that she will be making an appearance on an upcoming The Simpsons short titled When Billie Met Lisa, slated to premiere on Disney+ later this month. The short will feature both Eilish and her brother Finneas who invite Lisa Thompson to join in on a jam session in the studio. The synopsis reads, “In When Billie Met Lisa, Lisa Simpson is discovered by chart-topping artists Billie Eilish and Finneas while searching for a quiet place to practice her saxophone. Billie invites Lisa to her studio for a special jam session she’ll never forget.” This project will mark the fourth short that The Simpsons have released on the streaming service. Seth MacFarlane has confirmed his reprisal of the Ted role for the new TV series. The comedian will return as Ted for the live-action adaptation on Peacock and will also be directing, writing and executive producing the upcoming project. The film is set prior to the events of the Mark Wahlberg-starring films, taking place in 1993. The synopsis explains that Ted is living with 16-year-old John Bennett and his parents and cousin in a working-class household in Boston. Following WarnerMedia’s merger with Discovery, the company, which is now known as Warner Bros. Discovery, has decided to reshape the future of DC Entertainment. According to Variety, CEO David Zaslav is already making moves, having been less than week since Discovery closed its $43 billion USD deal with WarnerMedia. Zaslav is reportedly looking to give DC Entertainment a full overhaul and is looking for a Kevin Feige-like figure to head-up the division. In a recent interview with British GQ, the young actress spoke about how much she “resented” the character while she grew up in front of millions across the globe. Apple TV+ has signed an exclusive multi-year deal with Tom Hanks and Gary Geotzman’s multiple-award-winning production company Playtone. Under the agreement, the companies will partner on developing, producing and distributing all forms of television, including series, limited series, documentaries and unscripted projects. The partnership expands on Apple’s pre-existing relationship with Playtone, which was first formed in 2019 when the two companies joined forces with Steven Spielberg‘s Amblin Television on Masters of the Air, a follow-up series to Band of Brothers and The Pacific. 20th Century Studios has tapped Sinqua Walls and Jack Harlow to star in its reboot of White Men Can’t Jump. The remake was first announced in 2017, when Blake Griffin and Black-Ish creator Kenya Barris signed on to develop the project. The film will be a reimagined take on Ron Shelton’s 1992 sports comedy which originally starred Woody Harrelson, Wesley Snipes and Rosie Perez. The premise of the film follows both Black and white basketball hustlers who come together to double their chances at winning in street basketball tournaments. Harlow is set to step into the Harrelson’s original role, while Wall will be taking over Snipes’.
