The video further reveals that Uta, the world’s most beloved singer in the world, is in fact Shanks’ daughter. Disney+‘s new Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi is set to arrive late next month, and now the show’s writer Joby Harold has explained the timeline that Ewan McGregor finds himself thrust into. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Harold revealed that the series will take a deep dive into the galaxy post-Order 66, where darkness reigns. “It takes place 10 years after Revenge of the Sith, in a time of darkness in the galaxy,” the creative explained. “The Empire is in the ascendancy. And all the horrors that come with the Empire are being made manifest throughout the galaxy. And the Jedi Order as we know them are being all but wiped out. The first trailer is out for the fourth season of Netflix’s Stranger Things. Hitting the streamer on May 27 in the United States, the trailer sets up the arrival of a new monster from the Upside Down. The team behind the HBO’s hit Baltimore crime drama The Wire is making a comeback with We Own This City. The forthcoming miniseries, which will also air on HBO, will chronicle the rise and fall of the Baltimore Police Department’s Gun Trace Task Force and the corruption within it. Based on journalist Justin Fenton’s novel of the same name, the show is helmed by The Wire’s creator David Simon and writer and producer George Pelecanos. Reinaldo Marcus Green of King Richard will direct. Jon Bernthal stars as Sgt. Wayne Jenkins, a central figure in the department. Marvel Studios‘s upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart has now recruited Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes as directors. Bailey is best known for her previous co-creation of the Emmy-nominated Brown Girls as well as creating Gotham-nominated You’re So Talented. She has also produced and directed the final season of Dear White People on Netflix and Powderkeg’s East of La Brea. As for Barnes, her work includes episodes of both Mythic Quest and Blindspotting, and she’s also directing the upcoming fourth and last season of Donald Glover‘s Atlanta. Ironheart will follow the origin story of Riri Williams, played by Dominique Thorne, a young genius who invents a suit of armor similar to Tony Stark’s Iron Man suit. Giancarlo Esposito, who portrayed Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, revealed that he is quite open to the possibility of reprising his role for another spinoff that is focused on his character. Speaking to Insider, the actor shared that series creator Vince Gilligan may be on board for the hypothetical Gus Fring series. “The last days [on set of ‘Better Call Saul’], I’m tearing up and looking over my shoulder and I hear Vince say, ‘You never know,’” Esposito explained. “And so, I’ve always wanted, and felt like, there’s room for material for the rise of Gus. Netflix has added a new Two Thumbs Up button to its platform, which will allow users to indicate that they are highly interested in certain content on the platform. Peacock is reportedly developing a live-action series of Casper the Friendly Ghost. According to sources, the adaptation is being helmed by Kai Yu Wu, whose credits include Hannibal, The Flash, Deception and creating Netflix’s The Ghost Bride. Variety adds that the series is being billed as a “horror/adventure show that reimagines the origin of Casper in a coming-of-age story that explores what it means to be alive. Jurassic World: Dominion director Colin Trevorrow has recently revealed that he has taken some inspiration from the iconic character Joker for a character in the upcoming film. Stranger Things director Matt Duffer has given fans a teaser on what to expect for the upcoming fourth season of the Netflix series.
