Following an announcement last month revealing plans for two new sequels to the Fullmetal Alchemist live-action adaptation in 2017, a new special trailer has been released giving a glimpse of what lies in store. Anime fans will finally be able to find any series they need under just one platform. Back in August last year, Funimation owner Sony completed its purchase of rival anime streaming platform Crunchyroll for almost $1.2 billion USD, and now the tech and media giant have officially announced the merger of the two services. Interestingly enough, Sony has decided to forego the Funimation branding, instead migrating all content from its subsidiary over to Crunchyroll, which will now become the main — and only — service. Combined, the streaming platform will have “more than 40,000 episodes and over 16,000 hours of content,” including anime series and films with subs and dubs. Sony Pictures has dropped off the official trailer for its upcoming action-thriller film, Bullet Train, directed by Deadpool 2 filmmaker David Leitch and starring Brad Pitt. Netflix‘s productions for The Crown and Lupin have been robbed of more than $500,000 USD worth of props and equipment this past week. On February 24, the Northern England-based set for The Crown was robbed of approximately $200,000 USD worth of props. It was revealed earlier last month that Netflix will no longer stream Marvel‘s live-action series on its platform beginning on March 1, and those shows, including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D, and The Punisher will be migrating to Disney+.
