Fans of Square Enix‘s 2017 hit RPG NieR: Automata will be delighted to learn that the game is now being adapted into an anime series. The video game publisher will be producing the TV series along with Aniplex, the studio responsible for other massive hits such as Fullmetal Alchemist and Sword Art Online. Marvel Comics has just released a new teaser for the arrival of Ghost Rider Issue #1. With this year marking the 50th anniversary of Johnny Blaze, this new comic, involving the ongoing series, is from writer Benjamin Percy with art by Cory Smith. “This is a back-to-basics approach that focuses (for now) on Johnny Blaze. Where has he been the past few years? You’ll know soon. I can’t tell you too much, or I’ll undercut the suspense and horror. And rest assured: this is a horror comic. Aziz Ansari is set to make his feature directorial debut with Searchlight Pictures and will star alongside veteran actor Bill Murray. As confirmed by Deadline, the drama-comedy is based on practicing surgeon Atul Gawande’s non-fiction book Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End, which was released in 2014 and went on to become a No. 1 New York Times bestseller. Netflix has signed a three-year deal with several French film guilds that will see the streaming platform invest at least €40 million EUR ($45 million USD) in at least 10 French-language and European movies. Within the deal, Netflix has vowed to invest at least 4% of its annual net revenue in French and European movie productions, with a minimum of €30 million EUR ($34 million USD) reserved for French-language films. The agreement, which was announced on Tuesday by French film guilds ARP, BLIC and BLOC, will provide each movie with a theatrical release in France before launching on Netflix 15 months later. Universal has shared a first look image for Christopher Nolan‘s upcoming biopic Oppenheimer, which sees Cillian Murphy star as the atomic bomb father J. Robert Oppenheimer. The forthcoming film, which is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triump and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kair Bird and Martin J.
