Hulu has shared the first trailer for The Dropout, an upcoming miniseries centered on Elizabeth Holmes and her failed blood-testing company Theranos. The trailer follows Holmes, played by Amanda Seyfried, as she drops out of Stanford in order to create Theranos, before showcasing both the company’s soaring success and Holmes’ ultimate demise. After earning the title of youngest and wealthiest self-made billionaire from Forbes in 2015, the disgraced Theranos founder was exposed for fraud that same year. Jackass Forever has topped the domestic box office in its opening weekend, raking in $23.5 million USD across 3,604 North American locations. Ticket buyers for the fifth installment in the Jackass franchise were 68% male, according to Variety. According to reports, HBO Max has now canceled its plans for The Boondocks reboot. Back in 2019, HBO‘s streaming platform had ordered a two-season, 24-episode return of the adult animated sitcom from creator Aaron McGruder and Sony Pictures Animation. The reboot was initially set to start with a 50-minute special in fall 2020 but plans did not come to fruition. It was also noted that the reboot would see Robert “Granddad” Freeman and his grandsons Huey and Riley move to an idyllic community in suburban Maryland. Disney has reportedly greenlit Star Wars: Andor for a second season before its first one even premieres. In a recent Swedish interview, co-creator Stellan Skarsgård told Dagens Nyheter that Disney has already approved a second season for the show and that shooting will commence later this year. “We start with [filming Dune: Part Two] in July. And then in the autumn, it’s time for the second season of the Star Wars series Andor,” the creative remarked. “I do not know when they will start broadcasting it. According to Deadline, sources close to the project reveal that the show will be developed with Star Trek boss Alex Kurtzman’s Secret Hideout banner and bring on Absentia‘s co-creator Gaia Violo to lead.
