Willem Dafoe has expressed interest in portraying a “Joker imposter” character alongside Joker star Joaquin Phoenix. In a recent interview with GQ UK, the Spider-Man staple revealed that he “fantasized” about the role. “There is something interesting about, like, if there was a Joker imposter. So it would be possible to have not duelling Jokers but someone that [claims] to be the Joker that isn’t the Joker,” he said. The upcoming series is a spinoff of the Vikings series on the History Channel and follows the conquest of Leif Eriksson, possibly the most famous Viking who has ever lived.
