In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Affleck shared that he was influenced by his long-time friend Matt Damon to make the decision. Despite its sequel not even in theaters yet, Dune director Denis Villeneuve has shared that there is a chance for a third film in the franchise. In a recent interview, the filmmaker revealed that he is confident in the possibility of Warner Bros. and Legendary green-lighting Dune: Part 3, which will be based on Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah. “I think ‘Dune Messiah’ would be a beautiful film,” he said. “And it would complete Paul Atreides’ journey. With the excitement surrounding the upcoming anime adaptation of the Initial D follow-up manga MF Ghost, Comixology has just announced the English release of the manga. Shuichi Shigeno’s work will be offered up by Kodansha Comics on Comixology where the first 10 volumes are now for sale — there will also be a release on Amazon Prime. Released in 2017, this new story sees Takumi Fujiwara’s protege Kanata Livington competing 15 years in the future where combustion engines are no longer in use. Kanata joins Fujiwara in Japan to race in a closed-course event that sees the return of combustion vehicles. Each volume sells for $10.99 USD and can be found now over at Comixology. Now, HBO Max has employed Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts to produce the upcoming movie for New Line Cinema. Watts’ wife and business partner, Dianne McGunigle, will also produce alongside longtime franchise producers Craig Perry and Sheila Hanahan Taylor.
