Kelvin Harrison Jr. is set to play the great Jean-Michel Basquiat in Julius Onah’s upcoming biopic, Samo Lives. According to reports, the film “will celebrate the life, career and impact of the groundbreaking New York-born, Haitian-Puerto Rican American artist whose seminal paintings and street art defined the Neo-expressionism arts movement of the 1980s.” It also marks the first movie about Basquiat that is helmed by a Black filmmaker. Hulu has unveiled a brand new trailer for its upcoming limited series Pam & Tommy, which stars Lily James as Pamela Anderson and Sebastian Stan as Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee. The two-minute visual mainly focuses on how Seth Rogen’s Rand Gauthier and Nick Offerman’s Milltie managed to spread Anderson and Lee’s sex tape via the power of the internet. Meanwhile, viewers can also see the effects of the tape on Anderson, especially when Lee asks her how the situation is worse for her when he can also clearly be seen in the video. Mike Judge has shared a series of sketches depicting an older Beavis and Butt-Head for the franchise’s reboots on Comedy Central and Paramount+. The Beavis and Butt-Head creator took to social media to show the main characters in modern times, with Beavis now wearing glasses and Butt-Head evidently losing his hair. “Beavis and Butt-Head will be returning this year with a brand new movie and more on Paramount+,” Judge wrote. “No exact date yet, but soon. Apple Original Films is set to back Adam McKay‘s Bad Blood, which stars Jennifer Lawrence as the controversial Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes. Based on John Carreyrou’s nonfiction book Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley, the feature film will chronicle the epic rise and fall of Holmes and her supposedly revolutionary health technology company. McKay is set to direct, write and produce Bad Blood, along with fellow producers Kevin Messick, Lawrence, Polsky and Will Ferrell. The official website for the Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 2 has revealed that staff has put up art installations with Easter eggs for the anime’s next five episodes in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya. The giant wall installations of about 2 by 22.5 meters tease keyframes and production storyboards of scenes from episodes 76 to 80, with episode 76 titled “Condemnation” premiering on Japan’s primary public broadcasting network NHK on January 9. Less than a month after the first season of Cowboy Bebop was released on Netflix, the streaming giant canceled the live-action leaving many fans disappointed. After it was announced that the show will not be returning for further seasons, fans took matters into their own hands and started an online petition and within days, it garnered 50,000 signatures. As of writing, the petition on Change.org has garnered over 91,000 signatures.
