Tim Allen Is Returning for ‘The Santa Clause’ Disney+ Series

Tim Allen is reportedly set to reprise his role as the big man in red for a Disney+ series of The Santa Clause. Known for his character Scott Calvin in the Santa Clause film trilogy franchise (1994 – 2006), “The Toolman” will once again play Scott Calvin as he nears his 65th birthday and begins to realize he is due for an apprentice that can someday take over his duties in the North. Allen will also be acting as executive producer for this project while Last Man Standing creator, Scott Burditt, will serve as showrunner. Netflix Is Producing a PGA Tour Docuseries Featuring Top Players Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth

Netflix is set to produce a docuseries centering on the lives of the world’s top golfers. As of now, the PGA Tour and its major players of the major championships are all on board for the series. The show is set to cover the 2022 golf season. Major champions including Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson, Bubba Watson, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Brooks Koepka and Sergio Garcia are all taking part in the docuseries. However, the current top-ranked men’s player Jon Rahm is not participating, nor is golf’s leading amateur Keita Nakajima. More than a decade after the original film was released, Real Steel is now reportedly receiving a TV series adaptation over on Disney+. According to Variety, the media giant is planning on turning the 2011 picture into a series over on its popular streaming platform, with director Shawn Levy returning as executive producer alongside Robert Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, Jacqueline Levine, Susan Montford and Don Murphy. Since the project is still in its early stages, no writer has been attached yet and it’s unclear whether the series will follow the plot of the film or simply share the same concept and universe but branch off with new characters. Cardi B has testified in an ongoing libel and defamation lawsuit against a YouTuber named Latasha Kebe. Filed in 2019, the suit alleges that Kebe, who goes by Tasha K online, led a “campaign of slander” against the rapper by posting multiple videos containing defamatory statements that were each counted millions of views, citing 38 different videos and multiple social media posts. One of the claims included in the lawsuit was that Kebe had told her viewers that Cardi B had contracted sexually transmitted diseases. The trial began Monday in an Atlanta federal courthouse. Netflix Raises Its Subscription Prices in the U.S. and Canada

Netflix has raised the price for its monthly subscription service in the U.S. and Canada, which will be in effect for all new subscribers beginning Friday. In the U.S., Netflix’s basic plan, which does not include HD content and allows only one screen at a time, will cost $9.99 USD per month, an increase from its previous cost of $8.99 USD. The streamer’s standard plan, which allows two screens to stream at once, has increased from $13.99 USD to $15.49 USD per month. Meanwhile, premium plans will now cost $19.99 USD per month. In Canada, the basic plan will remain at the same price point, though standard plans will increase to $16.49 CAD and premium plans will jump to $20.99 CAD.
