September 8, 2021 marked the 25th anniversary of the premiere of Nick Jr.’s ’90s classic, children’s TV show Blue’s Clues. To commemorate the occasion, the original host Steve Burns makes a nostalgic return. A24 has dropped off the official trailer for its upcoming film C’mon C’mon, starring Joaquin Phoenix and helmed by writer-director Mike Mills. The monochromatic drama film sees Phoenix, in his first film since Joker, as documentary filmmaker Johnny. As he works on a project involving interviews with children across the United States, he forges an unexpected bond with his eight-year-old nephew Jesse, portrayed by Woody Norman, while they travel cross-country. Longstanding James Bond producer Barbara Brocolli recently spoke about a scene in Skyfall that has indicated the secret agent once had a gay experience. Brocolli spoke about the scene in a recent Apple TV+ documentary, Being James Bond, which involves Daniel Craig’s Bond and Javier Bardem’s villain Raoul Silva. Loki star Owen Wilson has been cast in Disney’s upcoming reboot of Haunted Mansion. According to reports, the actor will join LaKeith Stanfield and Tiffany Haddish, with Dear White People and Bad Hair director Justin Simien helming his first big-budget studio film. Katie Dippold will pen the script, Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, who also produced the live-action adaptation of Aladdin, will be producing via Rideback and Nick Reynolds will serve as executive producer. International airings of Power Rangers Dino Fury — the States have to wait until later this month — has just revealed a first in Power Rangers television series history. Without spoiling too much of the story for episode 13 “The Matchmaker,” fans that got an early look at the episode revealed that Izzy, the Green Ranger, came out as the first LGBTQ+ Ranger. This revelation comes just after Izzy’s introductory episode where she declares, “Skirts aren’t really my thing” as she denounced society’s archetype for female uniforms. Home Entertainment has released the trailer for Injustice — a new animated series that’s based off of the NetherRealm Studios video game ‘Injustice: Gods Among Us’ and the DC graphic novel Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year One by Tom Taylor. The new teaser totals out to just over one minute and shows various scenes involving The Joker, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and more. It opens up with the Joker and Harley Quinn ambushing a pregnant Lois Lane, the latter of which strikes her head with a giant mallet and knocks her out cold. Netflix has an interactive horror special in the works with WWE’s The Undertaker that will be available for streaming ahead of Halloween. Entitled Escape the Undertaker, the Netflix Original will star the eponymous wrestler, whose real name is Mark Calaway, alongside the WWE Raw team The New Day, made up of Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. “In this interactive film featuring WWE Superstars, The Undertaker has set a trap for the decorated tag team The New Day at his mansion,” the synopsis reads. “What they don’t know: The Undertaker’s mansion is an extreme Haunted House, packed to the brim with supernatural challenges.” Playing the movie will take about roughly 30 minutes per run and the interactive design offers varied storylines depending on the choices made by the player. “It’s up ...

Netflix has released a new trailer for Jake Gyllenhaal‘s 911 operator thriller The Guilty in anticipation of its October debut. A remake of a Danish film of the same name from 2018, The Guilty follows Gyllenhaal’s character of 911 dispatcher Joe Baylor over the course of a single day. The new trailer starts off by showing a series of irrelevant or prank calls made to the dispatch center, making for what would seem to be a slow day at the office. Things take a sudden and dire turn however when a woman in grave danger calls in, forcing Baylor to use every resource he can in order to save her.
