Disney+ is set to be the home for the upcoming Malcolm in the Middle revival. Disney has already greenlit four episodes of the comedy which is slated to include the original cast members from Frankie Muniz to Bryan Cranston, Jane Kaczmarek, Justin Berfield, and Christopher Masterson.The original series finished in 2006 after seven seasons and since then, Cranston has wanted to revisit the show. In a conversation with Variety, Cranston revealed, "I've been trying to get this going for 12 years. I was the one poking the bear, going, ‘Let's do it, let's do it, let's do it.'" Steven Yeun has officially joined the cast of Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies' upcoming animated Aang Avatar movie.Variety reports that the actor's role and the extent of his involvement in the film are unclear as of writing. Yeun joins the likes of Dave Bautista, Eric Nam, Dionne Quan, Jessica Matten and Román Zaragoza in the cast, with Lauren Montgomery serving as director and William Mata as co-director. A24 has a new biopic on the way and it is about music legend Ronnie Spector. The biographical drama has now secured Oscar winner Barry Jenkins to direct the film titled Be My Baby. The biopic has had Zendaya linked to the project since 2020.Zendaya is expected to play the iconic '60s artist. Before her death in 2022, Spector was an executive producer on the project and hand-picked Zendaya to play her in the film. The biopic is said to be adapted from the 1990 memoir Be My Baby: How I Survived Mascara, Miniskirts, and Madness, or, My Life as a Fabulous Ronette written by Spector herself along with Vince Waldron. It's official -- Netflix has finally set the development in motion for the upcoming Scooby-Doo live-action series. The project was initially reported in April 2024 that saw the series have a script-to-series commitment at the streamer. The show is expected to focus on how the Mystery crew with their beloved Great Dane, first teamed up together. Slated to be unveiled as a work-in-progress at the CPH:DOX international documentary festival in Copenhagen, the working-titled Tesla Files is produced by the Beetz Brothers and directed by Andreas Pichler.According to Variety, the documentary takes story-telling cues from the "100GB of leaked internal data provided by a whistleblower named Lukasz Krupski, who worked for Tesla in Norway, to German business newspaper Handelsblatt."
