The Weeknd is gearing up to make his big-screen debut in an all-new suspense thriller titled Hurry Up Tomorrow. The film, which is directed by Lionsgate's Trey Edward Shults and also stars Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan, has received an official release date of May 16, 2025.The movie, described as a "musically driven psychological thriller," is inspired by The Weeknd's forthcoming album and tour of the same name. Justin Chon and Bobby Hundreds are making a half-hour drama series about the streetwear world, according to Deadline.Titled Burnfield, the show is set to be based on the creative duo's own experiences in fashion. Hundreds founded his community-based workwear label, The Hundreds, alongside Ben Hundreds in 2003, and it has since become known for its graphic-heavy design ethos and pop-cultural collaborations. Chon, meanwhile, was behind the streetwear retail chain The Attic in Southern California for a decade.Chon and Hundreds are co-creating and co-showrunning the series, acting as executive producers alongside Garrett Basch, who previously worked on What We Do in the Shadows and Reservation Dogs. Jared Leto is set to play Skeletor in Amazon MGM's live-action Masters of the Universe film.Variety adds that director Travis Knight has also landed Sam C. Wilson, Kojo Attah and Hafthor Bjornsson as Trap Jaw, Tri-Klops and Goat Man — some of Skeletor's henchmen. Crunchyroll has acquired the North American and select international theatrical rights for Attack on Titan: THE LAST ATTACK, the series’ fifth compilation film that retells the last two parts from the anime’s final season. The film premiered last month in Japan and until now, had no updates regarding an international release.Together with Sony Pictures Entertainment, Crunchyroll will bring this colossal omnibus film to fans outside of Japan all in the first quarter of 2025.
