ABC has announced The Prank Panel, a new candid camera series anchored by the “Pranxperts” Johnny Knoxville, Eric André, and Gabourey Sidibe. The Prank Panel is expected in 2023, and will see the Pranxperts fielding pitches from everyday people and then acting as mentors for these practical jokes. “Every year, millions of pranks go un-pulled because wannabe pranksters don’t have the know-how — or the resources — to pull them off,” André says in a trailer. Knoxville adds, “Eric, Gabby, and I will serve as an esteemed panel of experts and we’ll listen to pitches from prank dreamers across the globe.” Advertisement Related Video According to Deadline, the show will feature a mix of real people and celebrity guests, and will offer a behind-the-scenes look at how practi...
Eric André and fellow comedian Clayton English have filed a lawsuit against the police program at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport claiming they violate the constitutional rights of passengers — particularly Black passengers. According to The Associated Press, the suit filed Tuesday (October 11th) alleges that André and English were racially profiled and illegally stopped while boarding a flight, as part of the police program’s effort to combat drug trafficking. Their lawyers claim that Clayton County police officers and investigators from the county district attorney’s office selectively stop passengers in the jet bridges while boarding, interrogate them, inspect their boarding pass and ID, and sometimes search their luggage before allowing the passengers to board. Hallelujah, it’s the third coming of The Righteous Gemstones! Just weeks after the premiere of Season 2 of Danny McBride’s evangelist comedy, HBO has renewed the series for Season 3. “After a season of literal fire and brimstone, blood, sand, and rollerblading, who wouldn’t come back for more?” Amy Gravitt, Executive Vice President of HBO Programming, said in a statement. “The Gemstone family makes us laugh like nobody else.” As HBO puts it, Season 2 saw the Gemstones — McBride as Jesse, John Goodman as Eli, Adam DeVine as Kelvin, and Edi Patterson as Judy — a famous televangelist family who tend to dabble in all things unholy — “threatened by outsiders from both the past and present who wish to destroy their empire.” Season 1 regulars Walton Goggins and Jennifer Nettles round out the...
Two years after its first season, The Righteous Gemstones is finally getting a second coming. Today, HBO has answered fans’ prayers by sharing the official trailer of Season 2 of the black comedy ahead of its January 9th premiere date. But they have one God-sized business venture on the horizon: A new Christian timeshare resort on the coast of Florida. As if things weren’t already chaotic enough in this family, they’re shocked to discover that their gaudy, evangelistic lifestyle is being documented by a reporter. The Righteous Gemstones will see the return of Season 1 cast members Danny McBride, Adam Devine, John Goodman, Edi Patterson, Walton Goggins, and Jennifer Nettles. Joining the batch for...

The Eric Andre Show is full of unpredictable moments and painful-looking surprises. According to comedian and host Eric Andre, a lot of those surprises actually hurt. Case and point: the most recent sneak preview of Season 5 captured John Cena hurling Andre into a shelf — a viral stunt that landed him in the hospital. Andre explained the whole saga during his recent stop on Jimmy Kimmel Live. When asked by Kimmel — who once was a former guest on his show — if being thrown by Cena hurt, Andre confirmed the obvious, though he absolved the WWE superstar of any blame. “John Cena did the stunt right, but we prepped for the stunt wrong,” he said. “That metal shelf came over and clocked me in the head and I got concussed.” Without wasting a second, Andre was immediately taken to the hospital to m...
GOTV Meets WFH: We’re eight months into a global pandemic and 17 days away from the strangest presidential election in modern memory, so it’s no huge shock that this year’s get-out-the-vote efforts look drastically different than past cycles. Mostly, that’s meant a shift away from performing at rallies and towards ensuring that all votes get counted safely and fairly. Those efforts have taken various shapes that conform to our current isolation, from the swing state organizing of Justin Vernon’s for Wisconsin initiative to charity Bandcamp compilations like Talk-Action=Zero Vol. 2 and Good Music to Prevent the Collapse of American Democracy to weary remote testimonials shared in a recent Pitchfork feature. Enter Run the Jewels. The Atlanta hip-hop duo of Killer Mike and El-P already owned ...
Run the Jewels are set to perform their latest masterpiece, RTJ4, live for the first time during a special one-off concert televised on Adult Swim. The bad news is that due to a COVID-19 scare with a crew member, RTJ have pushed back the performance by one week — to Saturday, October 17th. The good news is that once Killer Mike and El-P finally do take the stage, they’ll be joined by some high-profile guest collaborators: Rage Against the Machine’s Zack de la Rocha, Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme, soul legend Mavis Staples, and comedian Eric Andre are all set to guest on the broadcast. De La Rocha has three collaborative tracks with Run the Jewels: “Close Your Eyes (and Count to Fuck)”, “Kill Your Masters”, and “Ju$t”. The latter track appears on RTJ4 alongside the Homme and Staples ...
Season 5 of The Eric Andre Show is set to premiere in just a few weeks, and if its new trailer is any indication, fans can expect another wild, scream-filled ride. In this first teaser, Eric Andre looks as deranged and maniacal as ever — he proudly drives a dirt bike straight into his desk, strangles a creepy clown, and gets shot in the chest before completely disintegrating. At one point, the comedian even rips off his very own head and uses the bloody thing as a soccer ball. (Points for creativity!) Watch down below, followed by a few stills from the show. Along with a headless Andre and trusty co-host Hannibal Buress, the new season promises a long list of fun musical guests, including Grimes, Anderson. Paak, Lil Yachty, Toro y Moi, Big Freedia, and Joey Bada$$. NBA star Blake Grif...
