12th Planet, NGHTMRE, More to Perform at Socially Distanced “Pod Experience” in Utah
A bevy of the brightest artists in bass music have been announced as performers at Singularity, an upcoming socially distanced “pod experience” in Utah. The lineup for the music event, which will go down in Grantsville’s Utah Motorsports Campus facility, features 12th Planet, NGHTMRE, WHIPPED CREAM, and Habstrakt, among many other major electronic music artists. The music festival will also feature a collaborative DJ set from JOYRYDE and Ghastly, whose performance is billed as GHOST RYDR. Singularity is scheduled for April 30th to May 2nd, 2021. Following the Friday abduction of over 300 school children in Jangebe in Zamfara State, Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, on Saturday warned Nigerians against accepting kidnapping of school children in parts of the north as a way of life. Oyo governor to declare Hijrah holiday from next year
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Wednesday, declared that starting from next year, the government would declare Hijrah holiday in line with the yearnings of the Muslim community in the state. Ultra Music Festival Officially Cancels 2021 Event, Announces 2022 Dates
Last month, a letter was shared stating that Ultra Music Festival would not be returning in 2021. Now, organizers have confirmed the contents of the letter and revealed that the event will not return until 2022. On Twitter, organizers shared a statement informing fans of the new developments and unveiling the festival’s new March 2022 dates. In the latter half of the statement, organizers tell 2020 ticket-holders that they appreciate their patience and ask them to check their emails for additional updates. In 2018, GRiZ and friends debuted an event like none other—Camp Kulabunga, where music is not the main focus. Camp Kulabunga was created with the intention of fostering wellness, self-empowerment, community and inclusion. Due to the impact of COVID-19, the retreat was completely reconfigured and transitioned to a virtual event for the first time in August 2020.
