Envision Festival is Releasing Only 600 More Tickets—With a Waitlist of 20,000 People

Costa Rica’s Envision Festival was able to celebrate its 10th edition in February 2020, just weeks before the world shut down due to the impact of COVID-19. While many were hopeful to attend in 2021, the organizers of Envision determined it would be too soon, and they made a preemptive call early on to move the fest’s 11th edition to 2022.  They made an official announcement in late 2020, informing all ticket-holders that it will be well worth the wait and inviting them to a weeklong experience of education, adventure, community, yoga, music, and more from February 21st to 28th, 2022. Ekiti governor urges Nigerians to rise up, defend democracy

The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, and Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, has called on Nigerians to rise to the defence of democracy in Nigeria with a view to advancing the development of the country. Mr Fayemi made the call Tuesday in Abuja when he visited the Canadian Ambassador to Nigeria, Nicolas Simard, at his residence. The visit by the NGF Chairman was part of the Chairman’s shuttle diplomacy to representatives of the diplomatic corps in Nigeria, which is one of the initiatives of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum’s secretariat towards engendering inter-governmental synergy between global governments at the subnational level. There’s an Electronic Music Festival Going Down in a Moroccan Desert

A new electronic music festival is set to hit the spellbinding sands of a remote Moroccan desert. The inaugural Aura Event will go down in the Agafay desert, close to the city of Marrakech, on August 27th and 28th. Organizers promise a two-day desert festival experience with “cutting-edge production” and lots of house and techno music. Insomniac’s Day Trip Festival Moves Venues for Second Time, Refunds All Ticket-Holders

In an unprecedented turn of events, the organizers of Insomniac’s Day Trip Festival have announced that they have switched the event’s venue a second time, less than a week before the festival. In an apologetic message shared by Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella, festival-goers learned that Day Trip will now take place at San Bernardino’s NOS Events Center, about 80 miles from the original location. Ultra Europe Organizers Pull the Plug on 2021 Festival, Announce 2022 Dates

The organizers of Ultra Europe have abandoned the festival’s planned 2021 dates, citing the ongoing uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic.
