The Annual Pokémon GO Fest is Turning Into a Music Festival in 2021

Pokémon GO Fest 2021 has become the annual mecca for the app’s avid fandom. For last year’s first-ever online-only event, Niantic confirmed millions of Trainers, who shattered records and caught nearly 1 billion Pokémon. Seven Lions Announces Summer 2021 Red Rocks Show

As COVID-19 lockdown restrictions worldwide finally begin to ease up, music fans are thrilled to be getting back to live events, especially at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater. Since the venue’s organizers revealed a return to full capacity beginning June 21st, they’ve been announcing new events at a breakneck pace. A New LGBTQ+ Festival Celebrating Queer Club Culture is Launching in London

East London is receiving its first queer dance music festival, Body Movements. Attendees can expect a multi-venue rave that will span across 16 spaces in Hackney Wick on September 10th, 2021. DJ Saoirse Ryan and Little Gay Brother’s Clayton Wright are behind the fest, which aims to unite the LGBTQ+ dance music scene through an eclectic day and night of programming. In the thick of the global pandemic, Insomniac Events‘ Day Trip Festival gave West Coast dance music fans hope when organizers announced plans for a brand new LA Waterfront festival. Veld Music Festival Moves to 2022, Announces Headliners Martin Garrix and Marshmello

As North American music festivals return at a dizzying pace, Toronto’s Veld Music Festival has sadly met a different fate. Organizers today announced that the 2021 edition of Veld has been moved to 2022, citing the uncertainty of the pandemic. The silver lining for fans, however, is the fact that EDM superstars Martin Garrix and Marshmello have been confirmed as headliners for the new dates. “Due to continuing COVID-19 restrictions and our commitment to the safety of our fans and staff, Veld Music Festival will be postponed until 2022,” reads the statement before announcing the event’s headliners. Chris Liebing to Star in Second Installment of Beatport’s “Game Changers”

Beatport has announced the next installment of its “Game Changers” series, a three-episode series of livestreams and mini-documentaries about the world’s most exciting electronic artists. The next featured artist in the project, which is produced in partnership with Microsoft Surface, is techno heavyweight Chris Liebing.  The “Game Changers” series showcases epic performances from iconic locations. Liebing will use his slot to stream live from an abandoned Cold War listening station in West Berlin called Telufelsberg—also known as Devil’s Mountian—that has been converted into a street art hotspot. In December 2020, San Holo celebrated his Counter Records signing with his hit single, “bb u ok?” Since then, the song title has become synonymous with the San Holo brand, and when February came around the Dutch producer announced his sophomore album, bb u ok (album 2). Lights All Night Adds TOKiMONSTA, Dombresky, AC Slater to Puerto Vallarta Lineup

Headliners Justice, Nina Kraviz and Tchami have already put Lights All Night‘s first ever Puerto Vallarta edition on the 2021 festival roadmap, and the event’s full Phase 1 lineup only sweetens the deal. Announced May 21st, the lineup features TOKiMONSTA, Dombresky and Mat Zo, along with a Night Bass stage takeover hosted by label head AC Slater. With the full lineup yet to be released, the festival is scheduled for November 4-7th.  Lights All Night will also be partnering with Pollen to bring attendees the full resort experience via all-inclusive ticket packages, including accommodations, beachside DJ sets and even a tequila farm tour.
