Report: 25-year-old star has discussed Everton move with Carlo Ancelotti

Adrien Rabiot joined Serie A giants Juventus during the summer transfer window but it seems he is already frustrated with life in Italy. The 25-year-old is a fantastic midfielder but he always gives the impression that he is unsettled at a particular club. When he was at Paris Saint-Germain, he was always linked with a move away from the French giants. Eventually, he joined Juventus on a free transfer. He is unhappy again. Reports from Italy claimed earlier this week that he has gone on strike at Juventus. With the club set to return to training, he has refused to return to Italy as he is disappointed with the club’s slashing of his wages as part of a response to the coronavirus pandemic. However, the French media has refuted some claims. According to reports from Foot Mercato, R...

Report: Everton keen on 8-goal midfielder but Chelsea could complicate the deal

Everton are thought to be keen on signing the Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga. According to Il Messaggero (via Sportwitness), Roma, Napoli and Brighton are keen on the player as well. It will be interesting to see if Everton make their move for the winger this summer. Carlo Ancelotti could use some more wide options given the fact that Walcott is past his peak and the likes of Iwobi and Bernard are lacking in end product. Boga has done well in Serie A and he could prove to be a decent addition to the Everton attack. He has 8 goals and 2 assists in the Serie A so far and he can play in a number of positions. The 23-year-old can play behind the striker as well as in the wide areas. His versatility will be an added bonus for Ancelotti and Everton. The former Chelsea player might be tempted to re...

The defender is currently on loan at the club and the Toffees have the option to make it a permanent deal for a fee of around £12m. The 27-year-old Frenchman has done well so far in the Premier League and Whelan believes that he can be a useful player for Ancelotti next season. The pundit claims that Sidibe has shown that he is capable of succeeding in the Premier League and he has the right attitude. He said to Football Insider: “I have been really impressed with what he has done since coming in there. He is competitive, strong, quick – everything that you want to see. Stoke City striker Mohamed Sankoh has been linked with a move to Everton and Celtic among other clubs this summer. Kevin Phillips believes that the youngster should join Everton this summer. The popular pundit explained that Everton have a great academy setup and Sankoh would benefit from the coaching system in place at Goodison. Phillips said to Football Insider: “I would have to say, Everton. You are at a Premier League club. They have always had a good academy and a good youth system. My lad has played against them many times and they usually get beaten. They get some very good young players there and quite a few of them have gone through into the first team. If he can get to Everton, I think that would be the best place for him.” Furthermore, Everton have an impressive track record of ...

Report: Ancelotti is an admirer of 24y/o EPL midfielder as Everton plots move

According to The Athletic’s Patrick Boyland, Everton want a central midfielder with an energetic presence who is as capable on the ball as off it this summer, and they have identified Southampton’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as a target. Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti is an admirer of the 24-year-old and the club were interested in bringing him to Goodison Park during the January transfer window. Hojbjerg has just a year left on his contract with the Saints and isn’t expected to put pen to paper on an extension. Having stalled on signing a new deal, Southampton won’t be keen to lose the Denmark international for free and will most likely cash in on him when the summer transfer window opens. Ancelotti has stressed his side’s need for more energy in the middle of the park, and Hojbje...

Report: Everton and Manchester United will need to shell out £44 million for this player

Everton and Manchester United will have to dig deep if they want to sign Napoli winger Hirving Lozano. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A club will hold out for a £44 million fee for the 24-year-old. Lozano joined Napoli from PS Eindhoven last summer, but he has failed to make much of an impact since moving Italy. The Mexican has scored just three goals and created two more in 23 appearances for Napoli, sparking talk that they would be willing to him on. However, Napoli are believed to retain faith in Lozano’s ability and are unwilling to let him leave on the cheap. Both Everton and United have been linked with a move for Lozano, although it would be a big surprise if either were willing to shell out £44m to secure his services. Toffees’ boss Carlo Ancelotti is a known admir...

A third first-team player from Brighton & Hove Albion tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, the Premier League club’s chief executive Paul Barber has confirmed. Two Brighton players had contracted the novel coronavirus in March and April and the latest positive result could cast doubts on the Premier League’s plans to resume the season that has been suspended due to the pandemic. Clubs are due to meet on Monday to further discuss “Project Restart” which envisages a return to play in June once given the green light from government, with the remaining 92 matches held behind closed doors at neutral venues. “It is a concern. Unfortunately we’ve had a third player test positive yesterday,” Barber told Sky Sports on Sunday. “So despite all of the measures that we’ve been taking over the ...

Manchester United are also interested in landing the Frenchman as boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to strengthen his squad, but Everton could have an advantage in the race. Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti promoted Rabiot to PSG’s senior team ahead of the 2012-13 season and a reunion could be on the cards if the club’s pro...
