Before the Rams took on the Bengals in the Super Bowl, Marvel gave a new look at what it’s like when Doctor Strange takes on the multiverse by revealing a new trailer. The latest preview of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness makes it clear the highly anticipated sequel is going to be one hell of a crazy, jam packed ride. You thought Spider-Man: No Way Home had a lot going on? This one’s got a minotaur (Rintrah), Scarlett Witch vs. Wanda (aka Elizabeth Olsen versus herself), as well as mysterious powered up character, a one-eyed tentacle monster (I’m still saying this is Shuma-Gorath), the reality-punching America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), and some insane special effects. And somehow that’s not all. Midway through the trailer, Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) warns Doctor Strange (Bened...
Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman has died at the age of 75. According to Reitman’s family, the filmmaker passed peacefully though unexpectedly in his sleep on the night of Saturday, February 12th in his Montecito, California home. In a joint statement, Reitman’s children Jason, Catherine, and Caroline said, “Our family is grieving the unexpected loss of a husband, father, and grandfather who taught us to always seek the magic in life. We take comfort that his work as a filmmaker brought laughter and happiness to countless others around the world. While we mourn privately, we hope those who knew him through his films will remember him always.” In addition to the two original Ghostbusters films, Reitman helmed such comedy classics as Twins, Kindergarten Cop, and Dave. His early c...
Jordan Peele has revealed the trailer for his next film, Nope, which stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun. The trailer will air during Sunday’s Super Bowl, but is also available to stream below. Based on an original story written by Peele himself, Nope marks his third directorial effort after 2017’s Get Out and 2019’s Us. The cast is rounded out by Barbie Ferreira, Brandon Perea, and Michael Wincott. While the film’s plot has been largely kept under wraps, the trailer does reveal a few key details. Kaluuya and Palmer play ranchers who train horses for Hollywood, while Yeun’s character works at a rodeo. A strange atmospheric force begins spooking their animals — and themselves. The trailer concludes with Palmer’s character being flung up into the air. Advertisement Relate...
In 2022, the world needs heroes, and DC Films is here to deliver. For the first time since it was launched nine years ago, the DC Extended Universe will see four different tentpole films released this year. In a new ad created for Super Bowl weekend, DC is showing off all these projects with new looks at The Flash, Black Adam, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and The Batman. While there’s not a ton of fresh footage from The Batman (why would there be, with numerous trailers already released?), we do get a few new teases from The Flash. Mostly, it’s a closer look at Barry Allen’s (Ezra Miller) new suit, which includes some handy eye protection. The biggest reveals come from the Black Adam footage. We get to see far more of star Dwayne Johnson in action than s...

Last year, Mike Myers and Dana Carvey resurrected Wayne and Garth for a Wayne’s World-themed Super Bowl commercial. For this year’s Big Game, Myers has brought back another one of his beloved characters — Dr. Evil. Myers stars alongside fellow Austin Powers cast members Seth Green, Rob Lowe, and Mindy Sterling in a new commercial for General Motors. To be honest, the premise is pretty dumb: Dr. Evil has made GM headquarters his new evil lair, and intends to use the company’s “Ultium Platform” to power his whole operation… while reducing carbon emissions. “I will help save the world first, then take over the world,” declares Dr. Evil. Mad Max: Fury Road might be one of the most acclaimed action movies in recent history, but the journey sure didn’t come easy. George Miller’s 2015 masterpiece spent years in development limbo before it finally came to life, meaning the director had time to consider hundreds of casting options. Apparently, even Eminem and Rihanna weren’t out of the question. Pop culture reporter Kyle Buchanan goes long on the behind-the-scenes drama of Fury Road in his new book, Blood, Sweat & Chrome. In an excerpt of the book published in Vulture, Miller revealed his surprising idea to cast Eminem as Max. “[Eminem had] done 8 Mile, and I found that really interesting — I thought, ‘He’s got that quality,’” Miller said. “We’d done the first Happy Feet with the late Brittany Murphy, a...
