Marvel Delays All 2022 Release Dates, Including Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Thor

It’s the release date shift of madness, as Marvel has announced delays for almost all of its post-2021 features. The shakeup will see nearly the entire 2022-2023 slate of Disney-released films swapping positions, with Indiana Jones 5 also affected. The moves are cascading, with each movie moving to fill the slot previously held by the next film down the line. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (originally scheduled for March 25th, 2022) now takes Thor: Love and Thunder off its May 6th spot, which in turn moves onto Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s July 8th date. The highly anticipated Black Panther sequel, expected to see Letitia Wright’s Shuri picking up the mantle from the late Chadwick Boseman, forces Nia DaCosta’s Captain Marvel follow-up The Marvels i...

Indiana Jones 5 Delayed, Harrison Ford Will Be 80 for Release

Is that the crack of a whip or the sound of Harrison Ford’s knees? The great actor’s new film, Indiana Jones 5, has been delayed until June 30th, 2023, just two weeks shy of his 81st birthday. The fifth installment in the archeological adventure series was planned for July 29th, 2022, and so the wait adds almost a year to the production calendar. Ford will be joined in the film by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelson, and Antonio Banderas, while James Mangold is directing. It’s currently in production, and the process hasn’t been easy on Ford’s body. In June, the now-79-year-old injured his shoulder rehearsing for a fight scene and missed several weeks recovering. And while physical therapy sounds grueling, it probably pales in comparison to the pres...

A cartoon series followed in 2000, making the electrifying hero a household name amongst comic fans. It wasn’t until 2008 that Static Shock officially merged with the mainstream DC superhero line, and with Milestone recently being relaunched by the comic book company, the character is ready to retake the spotlight. Static is Virgil Hawkins, a teenager who gains electromagnetic superpowers after being exposed to a mutagenic gas. His power over electricity and magnetism allows him to fire electrostatic blasts from his ...

The upcoming Ezra Miller-starring The Flash movie is still in production and over a year away, but today’s DC FanDome virtual event provided fans an exciting sneak peak of the “Flashpoint” storyline adaptation — including a tease of Michael Keaton’s return as Batman. The clip reveals a new-look Flash, with a completely redesigned costume that’s a far cry from the armored version seen in Justice League, including a familiar looking ring fans should be excited about. We see Miller’s Barry Allen use his powers to travel back to save his mother, Nora (played by Maribel Verdú), causing a cascading effect throughout the timeline. As a result, Flash is forced to recruit superheroes from disparate realities to set things right. As we see in the teaser, that includes Supergirl (Sasha Calle), a...

The Batman Faces The Riddler in New Trailer for Robert Pattinson’s DC Movie: Watch

It’s been over a year since we got the first trailer for Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Robert Pattinson’s debut as the Dark Knight was originally targeting an October 1st, 2021 debut, but following the star catching COVID-19 last September and the industry’s slow return in the midst of the pandemic, it was shoved back to March 4th, 2022. As the new date approaches, Warner Bros. has finally unleashed another new look at the film, debuting a fresh trailer during the DC FanDome event. The clip finds Pattinson’s Batman squaring off with Paul Dano’s The Riddler — a far darker take on the classic villain than, say, Jim Carrey’s version from 1995’s Batman Forever. In fact, Bats himself seems grittier in response, as Pattinson’s hero is clearly dealing with some aggressive anger. In addition ...
