Barcelona Threaten Legal Action Against De Jong and Want Him to Revert to Previous Contract

Barcelona have reportedly found evidence of criminality in Frenkie De Jong’s contract, and are eager for the Dutchman to revert back to his previous previous arrangement. His current terms were negotiated by the previous board, headed up by former president Josep Bartomeu who was ousted last year following years of gross mismanagement and fraudulent dealings. Frenkie De Jong, who has been heavily linked with the exit this summer, is keen to remain at the Nou Camp despite the club reportedly open to selling him. With the Blaugrana still unable to register the influx of new signings until they balance their wage bill, De Jong’s sale would command both a substantial transfer fee as well as cutting £470,000-a-week off their salary commitments. However, it now seems as if the current board are ...

Argentinean soccer club welcomes first crypto signing amid economic downturn

Argentina’s economic restrictions have reached the sports industry, with the first signing of a local football player with cryptocurrencies hitting national headlines. The Curse Of The Chelsea No9: Lukaku Latest Victim Of Doomed Shirt

Chelsea are yet to give a player the burden of their cursed no9 shirt for the coming season. We take a look at the players who have flopped while wearing the iconic number for the blues.  Tony Cascarino Looking into the past Tony Cascarino was Chelsea’s first no.9 of the Premier League era and he really set this curse on its way. Serving only two seasons at the club Cascarino bagged a sad total of 6 goals in both combined and the closest he came to a trophy was runner up of the 1993/94 FA Cup. Mateja Kezman Moving ten years on from Cascarino’s departure Mateja Kezman joined for the 2004/05 season and although this was a successful season for Jose Mourinho’s blues, Kezman didn’t have the same fate. How Barcelona Could Line Up Next Season: Lewandowski and Silva Among Targets

Despite finishing 13 points behind champions and bitter rivals Real Madrid last season, there is a feeling of optimism under club legend Xavi Hernandez that has been abscent for a number of years. For all their financial shortcomings, returning president Joan Laporta has performed incredibly well in the transfer window since steadying the ship following the ousting of his fraudulent predecessor, Josep Bartomeu. The likes of Eric Garcia, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Sergio Aguero (now unfortunately retired) were brought in on free transfers in 2021 along with Ferran Torres, while AC Milan’s Franck Kessie and Chelsea’s Andreas Christensen followed suit this summer in two more high-profile free acquisitions. While there have been rumours of several first teams players bei...

He said: “Usually with cup finals, I expect them to be really tight with extra time and maybe even penalties – like we saw when these two teams met at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final in February. “This time, though, I think Liverpool will win it pretty comfortably, and in normal time too, just because Chel...
