Thanks to Nintendo, retro gaming fans will be able to relive yet another classic: 1998’s Banjo-Kazooie. Available through the Nintendo Switch Online service, the iconic N64 title has now been ported for the Japanese gaming giant’s beloved handheld console starting tomorrow. For those unfamiliar, Banjo-Kazooie is a vibrant action game featuring the two titular characters Banjo, a Honey Bear, and Kazooie, a Breegull. The two are tasked with rescuing Banjo’s younger sister Tooty, who was kidnapped by a wicked witch named Gruntilda. Tilted Towers, Fortnite‘s famed location that first appeared in the second season of the game, has officially returned. The Epic Games title has brought back the high-rising cityscape in an updated format that includes slight cosmetic changes, though the location still includes the legendary clock tower, restaurants and other nostalgic components. Prior to the beginning of Chapter 3, the Fortnite map was covered in ice, though there had been speculation that Tilted Towers would make a return. Retro fans rejoice: you can now run the original Tomb Raider PlayStation 1 game on a Game Boy Advance. As part of the OpenLara project — an open-source program revolving around Tomb Raider — modder and hacker XProger spent a whole year working on the port, which is the latest to join a series of other platforms you can run the classic 1996 title on including the original Xbox, the 3DO, an iPhone, and the Nintendo 3DS. Activision Blizzard has released more than 30 employees and disciplined more than 40 due to workplace misconduct allegations. According to the Wall Street Journal, the company has received approximately 700 reports from employees regarding workplace misconduct since July 2021. Activision spokeswoman Helaine Klasky confirmed that 37 staff members have “exited” the company, while 44 more received disciplinary actions after the company’s investigation. She added that the comments from employees included their statement on social media, which encompassed “benign workplace concerns” and “a small number” of more serious accusations that Activision Blizzard has reportedly investigated. Referencing the early console war between the Sony PlayStation 1 and SEGA Saturn, Takara Tomy Arts has turned the iconic consoles into a range of watches. Set to be available in Gashapon machines, the series features two Sony PlayStation 1 (PS and PSOne) and two SEGA Saturn (Model 1 and Model 2) designs. Opening the disk hatch on the consoles reveals the digital time and a classic game disc (Everybody’s Golf, Arc the Lad, Virtua Fighter 2, Sakura Wars 2). Tilted Towers, the legendary hot drop location that first appeared in the second season of Fortnite, looks to be finally returning. The current map has been covered in ice and since Chapter 3 began, and in just a few more hours, the ice and snow will melt away to reveal new locations. With 2021 come and gone, Among Us developer InnerSloth has now unveiled its content roadmap for the popular game for 2022. Looking ahead, the company will first be focusing on two main changes to the game that fans have long been asking for: a friends list and quality-of-life updates.
