Four years after its initial launch, Bungie‘s Destiny 2 has now announced an upcoming expansion named The Witch Queen. Scheduled to arrive in early 2022, the multiplayer shooter’s fourth expansion will introduce Savathûn as the new enemy, also known as the Witch Queen. Sister to Oryx, she was first mentioned in 2015’s The Taken King expansion and has been teased ever since across the game’s various strikes as well as lore pickups. After celebrating Valentine’s Day and Black artists earlier this year, Wizards of the Coast‘s popular card game Magic: The Gathering has now tapped into two massively popular franchises for its latest Secret Lair releases: Street Fighter and Fortnite. The two new sets of limited-edition cards will arrive sometime in 2022 and feature the greatest icons from both franchises. The Street Fighter series will depict the game’s combatants in beautiful detail, including Chun-Li while she pulls off her mechanic multikicker, while the Fortnite collection will span across two different drops and also encapsulate some of the battle royale’s most beloved characters as well as in-game locations. In celebration of Gamescom 2021, Microsoft has announced a series of updates coming to hits highly regarded Microsoft Flight Simulator, including a competitive multiplayer mode. Releasing a trailer (which you can view above) along with the announcement, Microsoft Flight Simulator has showcased an upcoming “major expansion” that’ll bring into the game an eight-player racing mode based on the Stihl National Championship Air Races. Players will get to fly various World War II-era planes through objective points, whizzing through the sky to outpace their fellow pilots while avoiding collisions. Microsoft will soon be bringing cloud gaming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. The company made the announcement on Tuesday during its Gamescom 2021 showcase, in which it revealed its biggest lineup of exclusive games and highlighted updates to several of its popular titles. Come this holiday season, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will be able to play over 100 games from the cloud, allowing them to try out Xbox Game Pass titles before installing them. Months before Battlefield 2042 has even released, hacker groups online have already started selling cheats for EA and DICE‘s upcoming shooter installment. According to Kotaku, a website called iWantCheats is offering gamers a whole range of different cheats for Battlefield 2042 even though the game is scheduled to arrive in late October. The service offers everything from aimbots that’ll lock your gun onto your targets automatically or item radars that’ll reveal the locations of various items you’d usually need to hunt for. All you have to do to ruin the fun for everyone else is purchase the cheat, run the program, and then start the game before setting up the cheats in-game. For the first time since the team’s inception, G2 Esports have failed to qualify for the League of Legends World Championship this year. Pit against Fnatic during the LEC semifinals over in Europe, G2 suffered a close 2-3 loss after an intense five-game contest between two of the continent’s greatest sides. Fnatic went off on a good start during the early phases of the matches, but G2 managed to overpower the U.K.-based team to take a 2-1 lead after the first three games. Epic Games have Fortnite revealed their latest addition to the icon series: reggaeton artist and five-time Latin GRAMMY winner, J Balvin. The additions will include a new J Balvin outfit, emote, glider and back bling that unsheathes as a pickaxe. Starting on August 24, players were able to unlock the new outfit and back bling early with the J Balvin Cup. The entirety of the J Balvin Set will release later this week. The J Balvin set includes the J Balvin Outfit with Energia Balvin Style as well as Fortnitemares Skeleton Balvin Style along with the Balvin Cruiser Glider and the In Da Party Emote.
