Short Nite is back with a series of entertaining animated short films are coming to the Big Screen on Fortnite‘s Party Royale. The Short Night 2 broadcast includes the continuation of the popular Glideguy saga with Glideguy Gets UP! featuring music from Emma Stevens. Aside from theater-style viewing on Party Royale, players can also watch Short Nite in Battle Royale mode via picture-in-picture. Subtitles are available for short films that contain dialogue in multiple languages. It’s important to note that no streams or recordings of these films are allowed, with anti-piracy and DMCA regulations in place. ‘Short Nite 2’ will run for around 40 minutes, repeating non-stop for 48 hours beginning July 23 at 2 PM EDT. Nintendo officially addressed the rumors surrounding the possible release of the Nintendo Switch Pro model. Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, the company wrote, “A news report on July 15, 2021(JST) claimed that the profit margin of the Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) would increase compared to the Nintendo Switch. To ensure correct understanding among our investors and customers, we want to make clear that the claim is incorrect. District 9 and Elysium director Neill Blomkamp has signed on to develop a new AAA video game with Gunzilla Games. According to IGN, the South African-Canadian creative has now joined German studio Gunzilla as Chief Visionary Officer, working together to launch the developer’s first game — a multiplayer shooter that’s being kept a secret for the time being. Gunzilla itself was set up just a year ago and boasts talent from the likes of EA, Crytek and Ubisoft. Looking to expand its business outside of just TCG and sports trading cards, Collectors Universe — owners of PSA, PCGS, and PSA/DNA — have just purchased Wata Games for an undisclosed amount. The authentication and grading company is looking to capitalize on the untapped potential of sealed games spannings from generations of consoles — even Skyrim is already selling for $600 USD. Japan’s Answer gaming accessories brand has just released the pre-order for two Joy-Con accessories made for boxing and fitness games. Also to be used in a number of Nintendo Switch fighting games, the ABS plastic grip attaches to the Joy-Con and sees four finger holes for a secure fit. The description also reads that the Boxing Grip is quite durable. Given its shape, the sale of this product could be prohibited outside of Japan for fear of it being used as a weapon as it does look quite similar to brass knuckles. Arcade crane games or also known as claw machines are notorious for feeling rigged and frustrating to beat, but now Sega of America is facing a $5 million dollar lawsuit based on accusations for its Key Master game intentionally preventing users from winning. In comparison to regular crane games, Key Master has the user guiding a large key-shaped arm into a keyhole to unveil a prize. Filed by an undisclosed plaintiff, the lawsuit claims that the game is deliberately calibrated in order for players to lose a certain number of attempts before actually being able to win. Key Master has been advertised as a skill game rather than a luck-based game, therefore the plaintiff accused Sega of deceiving users. A rare Nintendo card that doesn’t fall into the Pokémon category has just popped up on eBay. This card was part of Nintendo’s e-Reader series of collectible cards that could be read on the GameBoy Advance (GBA) for special items and unlocked features. This particular Kirby card was handed out at the 2002 E3 event where only 100 cards would garner a second-place prize and only 10 for the first-place prize. This card is extremely rare as all existing first-place cards were either redeemed or destroyed. As this is an uncommon card that hasn’t really popped up, there is no point of reference as to how much it is actually worth or the grading it would receive.
