Dead Space fans will be delighted to learn that there might be a new title for the franchise in development. The rumors first surfaced from writer Jeff Grubb over at Venture Beat, who said during the outlet’s GamesBeat Decides podcast that Electronic Arts will be announcing the franchise’s revival during its Play Event scheduled for July 22. The news was then built upon by both Eurogamer and Gematsu, with Grubb also confirming those reports. Atari Shifts Away From Free Mobile Games to Focus on Premium Console and PC Titles

Atari has now announced a shift in direction for its games development, moving away from free-to-play mobile titles to instead focus on more premium console and PC experiences. The company intends on either discontinuing or selling five of its current games including RollerCoaster Tycoon Story, Crystal Castles, Castles & Catapults, Ninja Golf and Atari Combat: Tank Fury, although it maintains that its “successful” titles that have a “loyal user base” will be retained. A handful of FaZe Clan members have now been tied to a cryptocurrency pump-and-dump scheme involving a child-oriented charity and initiative. According to new reports, four members of the Esports group participated in a crypto project named Save the Kids, which promised to donate one percent of each transaction fee of its KIDS token to various foundations supporting the welfare of children. The charity’s creators managed to get several influencers from FaZe Clan to help promote the program prior to its launch in June, but the price of the altcoin subsequently crashed by 90 percent. Chinese gaming giant Tencent is using facial recognition software to prevent kids from gaming between the hours of 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. Sixth Tone first reported on the company’s new facial verification system, meant to curb a growing video game addiction among young players.
