The action role-playing game debuted in 2020 after nearly a decade of development, drawing inspiration from influential sci-fi media, including the 1982 Blade Runner film and the Ghost in the Shell anime. The game takes place in an open world called Night City, dominated by the rule of corporations. Players control a mercenary named V from first-person perspective as he battles against a biochip implant in his brain. Images have just been leaked showing Electronic Arts‘ upcoming Need for Speed title Need for Speed Unbound. From the teasers, we see a different look applied to this game as the cel-shading gives off visuals that can only be described as Jet Set Radio-meets-anime, but upgraded. One of the surprising leaks arrives in the form of A$AP Rocky‘s character and his DTM-inspired Mercedes-Benz 190E EVO — complete with A$AP license plate, AWGE branding, Testing front wheels, and deep-dish BBS rear wheels (very similar to his actual car in New York). EA and Motive Studio are giving gamers a first look at the remake of survival horror title, Dead Space, the first release in the series since 2013’s Dead Space 3. Reports about the forthcoming remake first began circulating over a year ago, following the success of EA’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The new Dead Space closely follows the same storyline as the 2008 original. Taking place in the 26th-century, Isaac Clarke works as a crew member on a repair vessel of a defunct planetary mining ship. Wizards of the Coast is celebrating 30 years of Magic: The Gathering with the reissuing of some of its most iconic cards. Strictly collectible and non-tournament-legal, the collection will see original artwork with updated details. On top of the 30th-anniversary packaging, nearly every 30th Anniversary Edition card included matches the rarity of its counterpart in Limited Edition Beta. As Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch is finally receiving its sequel, the original game’s servers have been shut down. Earlier this year, the company shared that Overwatch 2 would completely replace the original. Today, October 3, marks the end of a six year run for Overwatch. With release for its sequel taking place tomorrow, there’s a one day gap where gamers cannot play either game. On the Battle.net client for PC users, the Overwatch tab has a darkened blue play button that reads “Overwatch will be back on October 4, 2022”.
