After four years of delays, Ubisoft‘s long-awaited pirate simulator Skull and Bones is finally releasing later this year. First announced back in 2017, the game already had a playable demo at the time, but the project seemed to have gone quiet after 2018. As Ubisoft now explains, the game took a new direction halfway through its development, as the company wanted it to be a more realistic experience than they had originally intended. As it stands, the game is an open-world pirate adventure game where players can form crews and enter into PvP servers to sail the high seas and battle other pirate ships for rewards and loot. Video game publisher Nacon has just announced two new titles that’ll bring you right back to the high-octane action world of the ’80s with RoboCop and Terminator. On the RoboCop front, the new game will be a first-person shooter called RoboCop: Rogue City and brings original actor Peter Weller back to the franchise, using his likeness for the character model as well as his voice acting for the actual game. As the game’s description writes, Rogue City will be set in Detroit where “crime runs rampant” and “the city is on the edge of ruin.” As RoboCop, you’ll have to fight crime and bring criminals to justice, becoming “the solution” to the city’s problems. The GPD Win Max 2 is a new handheld system designed for gaming on the go. Currently in the crowdfunding phase, with over $1,500,000 USD raised, the device features a 10.1-inch (256 mm) full screen with a native landscape and 16 GB and 32 GB storage options. The make of the console looks similar to a Nintendo DS. Along with a keyboard, there’s a directional pad, two pairs of analog sticks and four action buttons. A touchpad is located between the gaming buttons, which allows the Win Max 2 to double as a standard laptop. As part of The Sims 4‘s newest expansion pack “High School Years,” Depop and the gamer designed a collection of in-game fashion items that players will be able to purchase for their teen Sims in a virtual thrift store and boba hangout called ThrifTea. Players will be able to expand their Sims’ personal style by purchasing the newly-released clothing items, which were designed by real-world Depop sellers, and “hype up” their own curated outfits before selling them in a new in-game Trendi app, inspired by Depop’s circular shopping platform. Altitude Films has paid tribute to the classic Nintendo 64 shooter GoldenEye 007 in a new documentary. Directed by Drew Roller, GoldenEra tells the inspiring story of the game’s creation leading up to its release during the summer of 1997. The film arrives on the 25th anniversary of GoldenEye 007’s launch.
