Legendary video game company Atari is now celebrating its 50th anniversary with a bundle of more than 90 retro games ported for modern consoles. With five decades of titles in its library, Atari’s new collection spans six different consoles, including the Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, ST, Jaguar and Lynx. While the actual list of games has yet to be revealed, the company says that there’ll also be six brand new games inspired by some of its most iconic retro titles, including a sequel to 1981’s Haunted House. Blizzard is reportedly eyeing an acquisition of Proletariat Inc., the video game developer behind third-person action-spellcaster Spellbreak. According to a new report from GamesBeat, the buyout comes as Blizzard hopes to bolster its World of Warcraft franchise with the help of Proletariat’s hundred-strong team of developers, especially for the upcoming Dragonflight expansion.
