Meta Brings User-Generated Game Platform Crayta to Facebook Gaming

Meta recently announced they’re bringing game development platform Clayta to Facebook Gaming‘s cloud streaming service. Crayta allows you to build and play games with your friends in real-time. Meta describes it as an easy-to-use developer toolkit that makes game creation more accessible. Crayta was developed by Unit 2 Games, acquired by Meta last June. Initially set to be released back in March, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, releasing this October 7, has now received a new “Darkness Falls” trailer. Building up anticipation of the story, cinematics and gameplay, the latest look shows Venom falling to the influence of Lilith, Mother of Demons. Spider-Man is also seen joining Blade, Ghost Rider and other supernatural Marvel heroes to stop the unleashing of the Elder God Chthon. Developed by Marvel Entertainment and Firaxis Games, Marvel’s Midnight Suns features isometric, turn-based battles connected by cinematic cut-scenes. Frost Giant Studios Reveals Cinematic Trailer for ‘Stormgate’

Frost Giant Studios, a game developer co-founded by former Blizzard production director Tim Morten, has officialy revealed its new free-to-play real-time strategy game, Stormgate. Two years in the making, Stormgate runs on Unreal Engine 5 and custom simulation technology. According to the official synopsis, the game is set hundreds of years in Earth’s future and will feature two factions at the time of launch. “Take command of the human resistance, the demonic invaders, or other factions yet to be revealed–solo or cooperatively. Kojima Productions Upcoming Horror Game Leaks

According to reports, the next game from Hideo Kojima’s development studio, Kojima Productions, has leaked. Tom Henderson, a freelance reporter for Try Hard Guides, recently wrote an article about an upcoming horror game, titled Overdose. The article notes that Overdose will star actress Margaret Qualley and can be played in first- and third-person. Henderson also shared details about the footage sent to him anonymously, saying that a character in a blue dress with Qualley’s likeness can be seen walking through a dark corridor with a flashlight. Following a jump scare, “Game Over” and text reading “A Hideo Kojima Game…Overdose” takes over the screen. Nintendo Calls Hacker’s Sentencing a “Unique Opportunity” To Set an Example

Nintendo is making an example out of Gary Bowser, a member of the hacking group Team-Xecuter, who was sentenced to 40 months in prison over pirating activity in February. The famed video game company described the sentencing as a “unique opportunity” to send a message regarding piracy, with the transcript of Bowser’s sentencing providing rare insight about the company’s stance on the issue. Nintendo’s lawyer Ajay Singh told the court that “this is a very significant moment for us,” adding, “It’s the purchase of video games that sustains Nintendo and the Nintendo ecosystem, and it is the games that make the people smile.
