In the colorful images, Lil Nas X is seen wearing a pink jumpsuit, full make-up, fake breasts, and a two-tone wig while sitting on a motorcycle made of ice. Iggy Azalea reacted to Lil Nas’ makeover on Instagram, commenting, “You win Halloween 2020!” Minaj hadn’t responded to his post as of press time. Lil Nas X is a longtime fan of Minaj. Earlier this summer, following rumors that he was running the now-extinct Minaj fan page @nasmaraj on Twitter, the rapper admitted to keeping his admiration for her a secret because he wasn’t ready to come out as a homosexual. “I didn’t want people to know I was gay tbh,” the Grammy-winner tweeted in June, responding to a fan’s question about why he never fessed up to being a Barb. What’s the spookiest thing about Halloween this year? The ongoing coronavirus pandemic, according to Ariana Grande. The “Positions” singer took to social media on Saturday (Oct. 31) to share a cautionary message about the importance of having fun and celebrating All Hallows’ Eve, but also being safe and maintaining social distancing. “Happy best day of the year everyone!” Grande wrote alongside an adorable photo of a kitten with bat wings on Instagram. “Please dress up, take photos, get in your pjs and stay your a–es home bc the spookiest thing going on tonight is still this massive pandemic.” You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. Ministry have unearthed two unheard mixes of their goth classic “(Everyday Is) Halloween” and two previously unreleased early tracks just in time for October 31st. The (Everyday Is) Halloween – The Lost Mixes EP is available now on digital platforms with a 12″ vinyl release slated for November 20th. The titular “(Everyday Is) Halloween” is perhaps Ministry’s most beloved song from their early, pre-heavy era. The band’s output on Wax Trax Records skewed more toward gothic dance rock, and “Halloween” served as the ultimate anthem for that scene with its proud declaration of self-acceptance. Ministry didn’t perform the song for more than 30 years, until they were joined onstage in Los Angeles by Dave Navarro for an acoustic version in December 2018. They’ve since played the tune a handful of ...
We’ve reached the time of year when Michael Myers’ face always seems to get cold. The beloved villain puts on his trademark mask in the new teaser trailer for David Gordon Green’s Halloween Kills. This is the 12th installment of the Halloween franchise, and serves as a direct sequel to David Gordon Green’s 2018 reboot. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the release date has been kicked around more than a trick-or-treater’s head after it’s separated from their body. It’s now set to land on October 15th, 2021, by which time movie theaters will hopefully be running at full capacity. As Green explained at the time, the decision to push back the film’s release due to an unwillingness to compromise the viewing experience, because the film is pretty much done. That’s one of the r...
While next weekend’s Halloween celebrations probably won’t be as exciting as other years due to the ongoing health crisis, that doesn’t mean we can’t get into the spirit. Many of our favorite electronic artists have released horror-themed music in honor of the holiday while others have embraced the aesthetic full-time. Either way, they’ve provided us with the perfect soundtracks for haunted house parties, spooky festivals, and beyond. In honor of the upcoming holiday, we created a poll to see what your favorite terrifying tune is. Put on your costume, consult your Ouija board, and tell us your favorites in the poll below.
“Boo! Bitch!” In keeping with her Halloween tradition, Kim Petras is back with a spooky new single called “Party Till I Die”. Here, the German pop star is willing to do just about anything for the sake of a good time — as long as the terrifyingly fun festivities take place after the sun goes down. “Only time I come alive/ Is in the middle of the night/ Looking for another high,” sings Petras. “Don’t care if it’s killing me/ This is all I really need/ My body’s in ecstasy.” Is she a vampire? Hungry for a bedroom romp? Both? It’s easy to fall for her temptations and the lure of a “dark paradise”, especially with the song’s stabbing percussion and manipulated vocals. Tune in below if you dare. According to an Instagram Live video posted by Petras yesterday, “Party Till I Die” is taken from th...
Listen via Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Google Play | Stitcher | RSS “You know, Halloween is a very strange holiday. Personally, I don’t understand it. Kids worshipping ghosts, pretending to be devils? Things on TV that are completely inappropriate for younger viewers. Things like the following half hour. Nothing seems to bother my kids, but tonight’s show, which I totally wash my hands of, is really scary. So if you have sensitive children, maybe you should tuck them into bed early tonight instead of writing us angry letters tomorrow. Thanks for your attention.” Tired of Smarch Weather?
