Ozzy Osbourne: Eric Clapton Questioned “Jesus” Lyric in Collaborative Song “One of Those Days”
Ozzy Osbourne’s upcoming album, Patient Number 9, features a plethora of legendary guest musicians, including guitarist Eric Clapton on the track “One of Those Days.” In a new interview, Osbourne revealed that Clapton wasn’t exactly on board with one of the song’s lyrics. While speaking with Classic Rock magazine, Osbourne predicted that the line “One of those days that I don’t believe in Jesus” in the chorus would “cause shit” once the song is released. In fact, he revealed that Clapton questioned the lyric while they were recording the tune. “[Clapton] said, ‘Oh, I’m not sure about that lyric’,” recalled Osbourne. “So we tried to replace it with some alternatives. R.I.P. Stuart Anstis, Former Cradle of Filth Guitarist Dead at 48
Former Cradle of Filth guitarist Stuart Anstis has died at the age of 48. Anstis joined the UK extreme metal band in 1995 and contributed to some its most significant albums and EPs: 1996’s Dusk… and Her Embrace; 1996’s V Empire or Dark Faerytales in Phallustein EP; 1998’s Cruelty and the Beast; and 1999’s From the Cradle to Enslave EP. Anstis would exit Cradle of Filth in 1999 due to artistic differences and go on to form his own project, Bastardsun. Alter Bridge have announced a 2023 North American tour with Mammoth WVH. The 30-city outing is split into two legs. A rare clip has now surfaced of Taylor recording a particularly brutal take for the song “Gently” back on March 10th, 2001. If you thought his screams were vicious on the album, hearing them isolated — sans reverb or effects — is even more jaw-dropping.
