Industrial icons Ministry rolled into the Wellmont Theatre in Montclair, New Jersey, on March 12th, bringing fellow legendary acts Melvins and Corrosion of Conformity with them. In addition to supporting their 2021 album, Moral Hygiene, Ministry are also celebrating the belated 30th anniversary of The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Taste. Slipknot Finally Confirm Identity of “Tortilla Man”
It wasn’t exactly the best-kept secret, but Slipknot have finally officially confirmed the identity of the band member affectionately known as “Tortilla Man.” His name is Michael Pfaff, as most fans had already figured out. Slipknot revealed Pfaff’s identity with an Instagram post today (March 16th) promoting the percussionist’s “Ask Me Anything” session on Reddit. The musician is seen in a photo holding a sign that says, “I am Michael Pfaff.” In 2019, Pfaff replaced longtime member Chris Fehn, who was ousted from the group after suing his bandmates over financial matters. Cave In Announce New Album Heavy Pendulum, Share “New Reality” Video: Stream
Cave In are returning with a new studio album, Heavy Pendulum, out May 20th on Relapse Records. The revived post-hardcore act also offered up the video for the lead single “New Reality.” The upcoming album will be Cave In’s first proper full-length since the passing of bassist/singer Caleb Scofield, who tragically died in a car accident in 2018. Flogging Molly and The Interrupters are teaming up for a co-headlining summer US tour. Tiger Army and The Skints will provide support for the trek, which is split into two legs. The first kicks off June 7th in Indianapolis and runs through a July 3rd show in Asbury Park, New Jersey. After a month off, the final leg commences on September 9th in Denver before wrapping up on September 21st in Paso Robles, California. Fresh off announcing their first album in 13 years, Canadian post-hardcore act Alexisonfire have unveiled dates for a 2022 North American tour. The band will hit the road in support of its new LP, Otherness, which arrives on June 24th. The North American dates are broken up into three legs, with the first one kicking off May 19th in Nashville, and wrapping May 29th with an appearance at the So What Music Festival in Dallas. The second leg commences July 13th in Ottawa, Canada, and runs through a July 23rd show in New York City, while the third leg launches September 14th in Cleveland and finishes up October 9th in Anaheim, California. The creepy toilet in the likeness of Metallica’s Lars Ulrich is making its way to the drummer’s birth country of Denmark, where it has been acquired by the Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum in Copenhagen. A cursed piece of art if there ever was one, the toilet finding its home at the Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum only makes sense. We previously reported on the functioning crapper when it made the viral rounds online last year. Even weirder, it was created by the same Florida-based metalhead who claimed to have forged a guitar out of his dead uncle’s skeleton.
