Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson Says COVID-19 “Makes Your Willy Shrivel”

Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson has recovered from a breakthrough infection of COVID-19, and is advising people to get vaccinated. The metal legend insists that it’s not “just a flu,” and could even result in erectile dysfunction for men. Speaking with Sirius XM’s Eddie Trunk, Dickinson said it took him 10 days to get over the virus and an additional week to regain his sense of smell. The singer added that he was double vaccinated in May and urged others to do the same in order to avoid serious complications and hospitalization. “It’s a bit more than a flu,” Dickinson said (as transcribed by Blabbermouth). “I would really caution against people who go, ‘Oh, it’s just a flu.’ No, it’s not. And I know a lot of people who were not vaccinated — not because they didn’t want to be, but t...

Founding Cannibal Corpse Singer Calls Kourtney Kardashian a “Poser” after She Wears Band’s Shirt

Kourtney Kardashian turned heads by sporting a gory Cannibal Corpse shirt when she stepped out with boyfriend Travis Barker a few days ago. Now, founding Cannibal Corpse singer Chris Barnes has labeled both the reality TV star and the Blink-182 drummer “posers.” The eldest of the Kardashian sisters sported a long-sleeve black shirt with the gruesome artwork from Cannibal Corpse’s 1990 debut album, Eaten Back to Life, as she walked hand in hand with Barker, who repped punk pioneers The Cramps with his white tee. Barnes, who has fronted Six Feet Under since Cannibal Corpse parted ways with him in 1995, shared the pic of Kourtney and Travis on his Twitter, and simply wrote “Posers.” Advertisement Related Video It’s not the first time the Kardashians have been called out for wearing metal shir...

Corey Taylor Debuts Creepy New Mask at Slipknot’s First Show in 18 Months

Slipknot played a concert for the first time in 18 months on Saturday night (September 4th), performing a headlining set at the Rocklahoma festival. For the band’s long-awaited return to the stage, singer Corey Taylor sported a creepy new mask. Taylor is coming off a recent bout with COVID-19, having contracted the virus at the end of his summer solo tour. After a rough battle in which he said “it’s the worst I’ve ever been sick in my life,” he thankfully reported that he tested negative about 10 days ago, giving him the all-clear to tour with Slipknot. The singer believed he likely caught COVID from a “selfish” concertgoer. For Slipknot’s show at Rocklahoma, Taylor rocked a skeletal mask with beady eyes and Chelsea-smile stitching around the mouth. The change comes in the middle of the ba...

At one point in the conversation, the rocker even busted out a freestyle rap. Scantlin mentioned that he was feeling sick after his band’s recent tour, at which point the interviewer asked him if he received a COVID-19 test. “I’ve been tested for COVID,” replied the singer. “I totally believe that I have contracted the virus two or three times.” Later on, Scantlin was asked if he’d ever make a movie about his life, considering his successful music career and many headline-making run-ins with the law. “I’m desperately trying to get Fred Durst to get involved, and we can do some kind of a little movie or something,” he said....

Iron Maiden Craft Their Most Diverse Album in Years with Senjutsu: Review

The Lowdown: Metal legends Iron Maiden were riding high prior to the pandemic. The band were in the midst of their “Legacy of the Beast Tour” — a career-spanning celebration of the band’s discography. The comprehensive setlist pulled from every era of Maiden — even the Blaze Bayley albums — hitting major highlights as well as obscure deep cuts. Somewhere in the middle of the jaunt, in early 2019, the band found time to hit the Guillaume Tell Studio in France to track the material that would become Senjutsu. Perhaps running through 40 years of songs every night worked as the ultimate songwriting stimulant, because Senjutsu is easily Iron Maiden’s most diverse work in years — no easy task for a band that continues to chiefly operate in a long-since-established heavy metal style. The Goo...

Heavy metal legends Iron Maiden have released their highly anticipated 17th studio album, Senjutsu. Prior to officially announcing Senjutsu, Iron Maiden built the hype with cryptic ARG-style teasers before breaking the silence with an epic music video for the single “The Writing on the Wall” — their first new song in six years. The full album details were then unveiled, including a new “Samurai Eddie” for the cover art. The band announced today (August 31st) that the singer-bassist is experiencing mild symptoms and that at least four additional shows on their current farewell tour will be postponed. Simmons’ positive test comes just as Stanley reported that he was feeling much better, tweeting last night, “My COVID symptoms were MILD compared to many others and let me tell you… It kicked my ass. It’s over now.” When announcing Stanley’s positive test result last week, KISS had revealed that all band members and crew were vaccinated, but now both Stanley and Simmons have experienced breakthrough cases.
