Greta Van Fleet Postpone Shows as Guitarist Jake Kiszka Is Hospitalized with Pneumonia
Greta Van Fleet have been forced to postpone a few shows on their current North American tour, as guitarist Jake Kiszka has been hospitalized with pneumonia. Jake’s twin brother, Josh (lead vocals), also fell ill, but has mostly recovered. Originally, the band was scheduled to kick off the 2022 outing with five shows in their home state of Michigan. They got through three of the gigs, including the tour opener in Kalamazoo, before illness derailed the itinerary. At first, Greta Van Fleet postponed the Flint and Ypsilanti shows slated for this past Wednesday (March 16th) and Thursday (March 17th), explaining that both Josh and Jake woke up ill on Wednesday morning but that COVID had been ruled out. ††† (Crosses), the project of Chino Moreno and Shaun Lopez, have shared two new songs: “Initiation” and “Protection.” The duo made good on their promise to drop new music come spring, having been freshly signed to Warner Records in December. The new singles mark the first original Crosses material since 2014, following a pair of cover songs released over the past couple years. “Initiation” and “Protection” present the two sides of Crosses. Limp Bizkit Announce Spring 2022 US Tour
Limp Bizkit have announced a Spring 2022 US tour in support of their recent comeback album, Still Sucks. The outing will find the rap-metal group playing arenas and theaters, with various support from $not, Wargasm UK, Scowl, Yung Gravy, and Dying Wish. The “Still Sucks Tour” kicks off April 28th in Tampa, Florida, and runs through a May 31st show in Ontario, California. Among the stops is an April 13th gig at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Slipknot Finally Confirm Identity of “Tortilla Man”
It wasn’t exactly the best-kept secret, but Slipknot have finally officially confirmed the identity of the band member affectionately known as “Tortilla Man.” His name is Michael Pfaff, as most fans had already figured out. Slipknot revealed Pfaff’s identity with an Instagram post today (March 16th) promoting the percussionist’s “Ask Me Anything” session on Reddit. The musician is seen in a photo holding a sign that says, “I am Michael Pfaff.” In 2019, Pfaff replaced longtime member Chris Fehn, who was ousted from the group after suing his bandmates over financial matters. Cave In are returning with a new studio album, Heavy Pendulum, out May 20th on Relapse Records. The revived post-hardcore act also offered up the video for the lead single “New Reality.” The upcoming album will be Cave In’s first proper full-length since the passing of bassist/singer Caleb Scofield, who tragically died in a car accident in 2018.
