A collection of classic sports cars owned by the late Rush drummer Neil Peart sold for $3.9 million at auction over the weekend. Seven of Peart’s vintage cars hit the auction block: a 1964 Aston Martin DB5, a 1964 Shelby Cobra 289, a 1970 Lamborghini Miura P400 S, a 1965 Maserati Mistral Spider, a 1964 Jaguar E-Type Series I 3.8-Litre Coupe, a 1973 Maserati Ghibli 4.9 SS Coupe, and a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window Coupe. Two bands from the heyday of ’90s alternative rock, Stone Temple Pilots and Bush, are joining forces for a co-headlining 2021 US tour. The run will set off September 30th in Mesa, Arizona, and wrap up October 17th in Oklahoma City. Black Map and Devora will provide support. A press release promises an “an unforgettable night of music,” with each band taking turns closing out the night in various cities. KISS’ farewell outing will include a 12-date Las Vegas residency, the legendary band has just announced. In addition, Gene Simmons has confirmed that David Lee Roth will no longer provide support on their 2021 US tour. As part of the band’s farewell run, KISS will play a series of shows at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Resort & Casino. The residency kicks off with a three-date New Year’s run (December 29th and 31st, and January 1st). The band will then return to the same venue for nine more dates spanning from January 19th through February 5th. Bayside singer Anthony Raneri aided authorities in apprehending a Florida man accused of sexual battery. Detectives arrest the suspect after a three-month investigation, which began after an Instagram post by Raneri in April.
