Ozzy Osbourne on Receiving Four 2023 Grammy Nominations: “The Business Forever Surprises Me”

Metal icon Ozzy Osbourne earned four Grammy nominations on Tuesday (November 15th) for his 13th solo album, Patient Number 9. That’s the most nominations he’s ever received for a single LP. Patient Number 9 picked up nominations for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song for “Patient Number 9″ (featuring Jeff Beck); Best Metal Performance for “Degradation Rules” (featuring Tony lommi); and for Best Rock Album. Before this year, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer had scored three Grammy wins and eight nominations. Metallica Share Pro-Shot Footage of Zazula Tribute Show, Plus Heartfelt Video Testimonial: Watch

Metallica celebrated late Megaforce Records co-founders Jon and Marsha Zazula with a special show earlier this month in Hollywood, Florida. The band only played songs from its first two albums (along with a couple of tunes they covered during that era) and has now shared pro-shot footage from the concert. In addition, the band’s heartfelt video tribute to the Zazulas has also been posted online. New Study Warns Over 1 Billion Young People at Risk of Hearing Loss Due to Unsafe Music Exposure

The way young people are listening to music, whether at home or at a concert, can potentially result in wide-scale hearing loss across the globe. According to a new study, a range of 670 million to 1.35 billion teens and young adults are currently in danger of losing their hearing due to unsafe listening practices. The study, published by the BMJ Global Health Journal, is titled “Prevalence and Global Estimates of Unsafe Listening Practices in Adolescents and Young Adults: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.” It researched the effects of listening to music through personal listening devices (via headphones and earbuds) and attending live shows at entertainment venues such as arenas, theaters, and bars.
