Maurice Fayne of ‘Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta’ Sentenced In Ponzi Scheme

“Fayne planned to use the PPP program as a cover for his long-running Ponzi scheme,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Kurt R. Erskine in a news release Wednesday. “The funds the program supplies serve as a lifeline to many businesses desperately trying to stay afloat during the pandemic, and unfortunately his fraud helped deplete those precious dollars.” Erskine said from March 2013 through May 2020, Fayne ran a multistate Ponzi scheme that defrauded more than 20 people who invested in his trucking business. Instead of using investors’ money to operate the business, he used the funds to pay personal debts and expenses and to fund an extravagant lifestyle, Erskine said. During the scheme, Fayne spent more than $5 million at a casino in Oklahoma, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District...

Nicki Minaj Vaccine Claims Rejected by Trinidad & Tobago Health Minister

Minaj later added that she’d “def recommend” others get the vaccine before encouraging people to “wear the mask with 2 strings that grips your head & face. Not that loose one.” But the story of the swollen testicles set off a string of criticisms, including from MSNBC’s Joy-Ann Reid, who blasted the singer’s comments on her show, The ReidOut. “People like Nicki Minaj, I have to say this: You have a platform sister. That is 22 million followers. OK? I have 2 million followers. You have 22 million followers on Twitter. For you to use your platform to encourage our community to not protect themselves and save their lives. My God, sister. You could do better than that,” Reid said. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert followed Reid’s lead, remixing the artist’s hit “Super Bass” into a parody,...

Minaj tweeted that she wouldn’t be attending the fundraiser, because as she said, “They want you to get vaccinated for the Met. if I get vaccinated it won’t [be] for the Met. It’ll be once I feel I’ve done enough research.” She added that she’s “working on that now,” and asked her followers to wear masks. But then the rapper did two unusual things: she explained the source of her vaccine hesitancy, and she told the whole world about the bulging ball sack of a man she had never met. But did you notice that Zen Micheline Hung is also featured on the album? Probably not. But on Monday (Sept. 13), New York’s Kaufman Music Center revealed that the sixth grade student at the city’s public K-12 school is the source of the haunting piano solo on the album’s 22nd song “Come to Life.” “How cool is this? 6th grader Zen Micheline Hung (far right), a student at #SpecialMusicSchool, our K...
