Everything is big about Big Sean’s new LP, Detroit 2. Stretching across 21 tracks, it’s one big album. And at 70-minute’s plus… that’s big, too. He’s also brought some big names along for the ride, including Post Malone, Dave Chappelle, Jhene Aiko, Erykah Badu, Lil Wayne and many more. Detroit 2 also features the previously-released “Deep Reverence”. Big Sean is on something of a streak. The Detroit rapper’s album Dark Sky Paradise hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 back in 2015. I Decided from 2017 also went to the top. Yep, Detroit 2 is something of a big deal. Stream it in full below. You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. So we reimagined what a dating should be. Kanye West Barred From Appearing on Arizona’s Ballot

A judge has barred Kanye West from appearing on the Nov. 3 ballot in Arizona, concluding that a voter who challenged his candidacy had shown he would probably prevail and had established the possibility of an irreparable harm if the rapper’s name were to appear on the ballot. The ruling Thursday by Judge Scott McCoy said that the voter who challenged West’s bid in Arizona “established that the relative hardships favor him.” Putting West on the ballot would create confusion for voters, his lawyers argued. The decision came a day after West’s campaign turned in nearly 58,000 nominating signatures, well over the 39,000 needed to appear on the Arizona ballot. Over the last 10 days, more than 120 people living in other states have registered in Arizona as paid signature gatherers for West, who ...

Biebs is back! And this time, he’s rocking with some heavyweight pals. Justin Bieber is the feature artist on DJ Khaled and Drake‘s “Popstar,” the music video for which dropped at midnight. Helmed by Director X, the hilarious new clip opens with Khaled constantly hassling Drake to appear in his music video. “This guy is off his rocker,” says a frustrated Drizzy. “Every 5 seconds on my phone (he’s) asking me for something.” So he calls in a favor and hits up his compatriot, Bieber. The pop star is happy to help. Bieber’s living the high life in a mansion surrounded by party people. Tekashi 6ix9ine Drops New Album TattleTales: Stream

Tekashi 6ix9ine has released his new album TattleTales. Stream it below via Apple Music and Spotify. This studio effort follows his 2018 debut Dummy Boy, which charted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. TattleTales features his No. 1 single “TROLLZ”, as well as other singles “GOOBA”, “YAYA”, and “PUNANI”. Notably, it’s the first album 6ix9ine has dropped since his early release from prison back in April. Everything about this record, and his career for that matter, is a radical shift in the way rappers earn credibility. Back in 2019, the rainbow-haired MC born Daniel Hernandez pleaded guilty to racketeering, firearm possession, and drug trafficking charges that stemmed from his involvement with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. In a bewildering contradiction to the age-old street code of...

SZA Drops Surprise New Song “Hit Different” with Ty Dolla $ign: Stream

SZA has returned with little forewarning to deliver a new song called “Hit Different”. Produced by The Neptunes and featuring Ty Dolla $ign singing the hook, the track marks SZA’s first single as a lead artist since dropping Ctrl in 2017. The smooth R&B tune sounds like a love song, but the thing that “hits different” is the heartbreak. “You’re a wild one/ And I’m wading in you like it’s cool water/ Like it’s cool when you pull up boo’d up with a new and it’s not me,” SZA sings. The cut is also something of a two-fer, as the back third feels like an entirely separate movement with its own lyrical flow and slower beat. The track comes equipped with a music video that happens to mark SZA’s directorial debut. Check it out below. “Hit Different” is the latest in a string of 2020 colla...

McDonald’s Says Fuck It, Renames Quarter Pounder Meal for Travis Scott

By its own admission, McDonald’s has been struggling to reach consumers 34 and younger. Rather than engaging with issues that young people care about — nutrition and environmental sustainability come to mind — the Golden Arches have instead tried the “How do you do, fellow kids?” approach, and partnered with Travis Scott to offer the same shit that was already on the menu. The last time that Ronald and friends linked up with a celebrity sponsor was thirty years ago with Michael Jordan. That endorsement-free era has ended, as McDonald’s announced the Travis Scott Meal in a news release earlier today. It comes with a quarter pounder with cheese (add bacon), plus french fries, barbecue sauce, and a Sprite. Growing up, we called that a #3, but for a limited time it’s the Cactus Jack speci...

You Can Soon Order Travis Scott’s Favorite Meal at McDonald’s

The Golden Arches meet Cactus Jack. McDonald’s announced on Thursday (Sept. 3) that it is teaming up with Travis Scott for a fun, charitable partnership. Starting September 8 through October 4, the popular fast food restaurant will be offering the “Highest in the Room” rapper’s favorite meal all across the United States. Travis and McDonald’s will also be supporting charitable organizations during the month-long program. What’s Trav’s go-to bite? A quarter pounder with cheese, bacon and lettuce with a medium order of fries and BBQ sauce to dip. The $6 order is complete with a Sprite. “I couldn’t be more excited to bring the Cactus Jack x McDonald’s collaboration to life,” Travis said in a statement. “We are bringing together two iconic worlds. Inclu...

Lawsuit Seeks to Ban Kanye West From Arizona Ballot

An Arizona resident has asked a judge to bar Kanye West from appearing on the state’s Nov. 3 ballot, accusing the hip-hop artist of serving as an election spoiler and arguing that a law prohibits him from running in the state as an independent presidential candidate. West’s lawyer on Wednesday (Sept. 2) reported filing just under 58,000 signatures, well over the roughly 39,000 required for independent candidates to make the ballot. Lawyers for resident Rasean Clayton said in a lawsuit filed Monday that independent presidential candidates can appear on Arizona’s ballot if they aren’t registered with a recognized political party and gather enough voter signatures to nominate them. But Clayton’s lawyers say West, who paid top dollar to dozens of workers gathering petition signatures in Arizon...

LL Cool J Pays Tribute to ‘True-to-Life Hero’ Chadwick Boseman

LL Cool J is honoring the legacy of celebrated actor Chadwick Boseman, who died at the age of 43 after a four-year battle with cancer. “He inspired Black people all around the world… he inspired people in general, the rapper said in a new interview with STROMBO on Apple Music Hits. “I think in a short period of time he became a true-to-life hero in his ability to kinda fight through what he was dealing with unbeknownst to the world is just unbelievable, man.” “Playing that character in Black Panther and changing the perception of how movies with Black leads can be treated worldwide, he proved that this whole idea that Blacks couldn’t sell internationally was a complete and absolute myth,” LL Cool J said of the impact Boseman’s work had on the film ind...

Joyner Lucas & Ashanti Kiss & Make Up in Incredibly Intimate ‘Fall Slowly’ Video

Joyner Lucas packs in passion for his “Fall Slowly” single featuring Ashanti, who stars as his love interest in the music video out Wednesday (Sept. 2). But regardless of the artists’ undeniable chemistry (which fans questioned if it also presents itself off-screen with relationship rumors starting), the video shows there’s trouble in paradise. Physical and verbal arguments in public, Lucas’ arrest and Ashanti’s unanticipated pregnancy test result are juxtaposed with late-night kisses and cuddles and naps on couches. And he raps about their tumultuous relationship right within the first verse: “‘Cause when we hurt each other we come back to help each other heal/ You say I’m crazy, but at least you know my love is real/ But s&#...

Watch Post Malone Get Back to His Metal Roots in Raging Jam Session

Post Malone took some quarantine time to revisit his heavy metal roots in a jam session posted by YouTuber Jared Dines that also featured Dragged Under singer Tony Cappocchi and rapper Tyla Yaweh. In the videos posted by Dines, Posty can be seen reveling in the grind, slashing at his guitar on a pair of grinding metal tunes and helping the group blow through an extreme metal version of Wild Cherry‘s “Play That Funky Music” and a rip of Nirvana‘s “Breed,” with Malone behind the drum kit for those two jams. Malone, who played in metal bands as a teen before pivoting to hip-hop, has proven his rock bona fides over and over, most recently during an all-Nirvana covers COVID-19 fundraiser that raised more than $800,000 in April. Posty and Yaweh teamed up in Ju...
