One week after announcing Morgan Wallen’s first major awards show appearance since being caught shouting the N-word on camera, the Billboard Music Awards has doubled down by booking Travis Scott. The 2022 BBMAs will mark Scott’s first awards show appearance since his Astroworld Festival in November, which left 10 people dead. The Houston rapper is still facing a multi-million dollar class action lawsuit brought forth by victims of the tragedy, for which he has denied responsibility on multiple occasions. Young Thug Arrested on Gang Activity, Racketeering Charges

Young Thug was arrested on gang activity and racketeering charges in Atlanta on Monday. According to the New York Times, Young Thug was charged with one count each of participation in street gang activity and conspiracy to violate the RICO Act as part of a 56-count indictment filed against the rapper and 27 of his associates. YSL (short for Young Slime Life) is the name of Young Thug’s record label. However, in its indictment the Fulton County District Attorney alleges that the Atlanta-based YSL also engages in criminal gang activities, including murder and armed robbery. Ye’s “Life of the Party” music video has arrived. Ye, aka Kanye West, dropped the new video on Mother’s Day (May 8). The visual brings childhood photos of Ye to life, with young Kanye rapping the verses in a selection of edited clothing. On the deluxe edition of Donda, the track is a collaboration with André 3000. A television commercial for Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga, featuring the “Life of the Party” visual, was set to debut at the same time as the new video, according to a press release. The collection marks the first limited release between Ye and Balenciaga creative director Demna Gvasalia. Simpson, Will Smith, Jussie Smollett, Kanye West, Kobe Bryant, and Nipsey Hussle. The video begins with Kendrick, but his face soon morphs into deepfakes of each of these individuals. Watch it below.
