Indianapolis Man Makes Bomb Threat to Jump Line at Doja Cat Show

An Indianapolis man attempted to jump the line at a Doja Cat concert Saturday, January 8th, by telling those around him that he had a bomb in his backpack, police said. Doja Cat performed at the AT&T Playoff Live concert in downtown Indianapolis that coincided with the College Football Playoff National Championship set for Monday. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer William Young told the IndyStar that the man made the threat around 5 p.m., just as concert goers began to enter the concert at Monument Circle. Police cleared the crowd for about 20 minutes and searched the man, who did not, in fact, have a bomb. New LL Cool J Statue In Queens Plays His Music via Solar Power

Now that it’s 2022, conventional statues just won’t cut it anymore. Case in point: a new statue of LL Cool J that just went up in the rapper’s native Queens, New York comes complete with a solar-powered audio setup that plays his music. The LL statue, which resides in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, was built by Sherwin Banfield, the Queens-raised sculptor who previously memorialized Phife Dawg, Prodigy, Jam Master Jay at the Queens Public Library back in 2019. LL’s bronze bust — decked out with his trademark ’90s bucket hat and chain, naturally — sits upon a gold-colored boombox thats powered by the sun. Thousands of COVID-19 Cases Linked to Bad Bunny Concert in Puerto Rico

A Bad Bunny concert that took place about three weeks ago in the singer’s native Puerto Rico has been called a super-spreader event after it contributed to a major surge in the island’s COVID-19 cases. The New York Times reports that Puerto Rico faced a 4,600% (!) increase in cases in the last few weeks, despite about three-quarters of its population having received two vaccine doses. Approximately 2,000 people reported falling ill after the Bad Bunny concert, which boasted a crowd of 60,000. Jason Derulo Gets Into Brawl with Two Men Who Called Him “Usher”

Jason Derulo was involved in an altercation with two men who heckled the singer by calling him Usher. The Las Vegas Police Department were called to the ARIA resort around 2:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday following a report that Derulo “committed a battery against two individuals,” according to USA Today. Footage of the incident obtained by TMZ shows one of the men yelling, “Hey, Usher! Fuck you, bitch!” as Derulo walked by. Derulo immediately charged at the man and threw a punch. Pooh Shiesty was facing up to life in prison for allegedly shooting a man in the buttocks, but after reaching a deal with prosecutors, he has pleaded guilty to a single lesser charge of conspiracy to possess a firearm in furtherance of violent and drug-trafficking crimes, Rolling Stone reports. The 22-year-old rapper, who was born Lontrell Williams, was indicted last year following a shooting. Prosecutors argued that Williams and his associates had met two men at the Landon Hotel in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida, with the intention of purchasing marijuana and high-end sneakers. Kodak Black was arrested on a trespassing charge Saturday (Jan. 1) in South Florida, authorities said. The Broward Sheriff’s Office said Black was taken into custody in his hometown of Pompano Beach early Saturday morning, according to the South Florida SunSentinel. Investigators did not immediately release details about what prompted the arrest. Black, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, later posted bond and was released, the newspaper reported.
