Anybody who’s used dating apps relates to the frustration that comes with trying to meet the right person, so it’s easy to relate to the plot of Fresh, which stars the irresistible Sebastian Stan as a stranger named Steve who seduces protagonist Noa (played by Daisy Edgar-Jones) during a meet-cute at the grocery store. Check out the trailer below ahead of its March 4th debut on Hulu. The clip opens with Noa zoning out during a terrible date before receiving advice from her best friend Mollie (Jojo T. Gibbs) that she doesn’t need anyone in her life. However, Noa can’t help but be charmed when she meets Texan surgeon Steve and he quips, “Do you live here? I live on Aisle 6.” Despite red flags like Steve not having an Instagram account, they go out on a date and hit it off immediately. “Girl,...
The beloved intergalactic cartoon Futurama will return in 2023 with 20 new episodes airing on Hulu. Most of the show’s principal voice cast, including Billy West (Fry), Katey Sagal (Leela), Tress MacNeille (Mom), Maurice LaMarche (Kif), Lauren Tom (Amy), Phil LaMarr (Hermes), and David Herman (Scruffy), are returning for the upcoming reboot. John DiMaggio, who voices Bender, is not currently attached to the project. Deadline reports that DiMaggio felt the contract offer “was not competitive based on the success and name recognition of of the original series.” The role of Bender is being recast ahead of next week’s first table read, but both DiMaggio and 20th Television Animation are optimistic about an eventual deal, according to Deadline. Over the past few years, Stanford dropout Elizabeth Holmes went from being the country’s youngest self-made female billionaire to one of the most infamous scammers to come up in Silicon Valley. Today, Hulu has unveiled the official trailer for their forthcoming limited drama series The Dropout, which stars Amanda Seyfried as the disgraced Theranos founder and CEO. Premiering March 3rd, The Dropout documents Holmes’ career trajectory from an ambitious chemical engineering student to the defendant in a highly-publicized criminal trial. The trailer nods to plenty of Holmes’ trademarks, from her black turtlenecks, bright red lipstick, and messy buns, to that phony baritone speaking voice. Seyfried doesn’t quite nail Holmes’ low timbre, but we’ll let it slide because it’s important to...

In perhaps one of the most impeccable voice casting moves in recent memory, Jason Mantzoukas will be providing the voice of a penis. More specifically, he’ll be voicing the genitalia of Tommy Lee in Pam & Tommy, Hulu’s forthcoming limited series about the whirlwind romantic relationship between the Mötley Crüe drummer and his ex-wife, Pamela Anderson. A talking penis might be a first for Hulu, but considering Mantzoukas’ unforgettable appearances in shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Good Place, and Parks and Recreation — and we mean this with the utmost respect — he’ll do a really great job voicing a penis. Apparently, the second episode of Pam & Tommy includes a scene during which Lee consults his schlong for advice about love, because that approach has never failed anybody ...
Today, the internet can feel like a sex distribution mechanism that is only occasionally interrupted by selfies and memes. But that wasn’t always the case, as director Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya) makes clear in the new trailer for Pam & Tommy. Starring Sebastian Stan as Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee and Lily James as a dead ringer for Baywatch‘s Pamela Anderson, Pam & Tommy dramatizes the sex-tape theft that proved how incorrigibly horny everyone is, as well as what happens when two real people get caught in the crossfire. The tale begins in 1995, when a disgruntled contractor named Rand Gauthier (Seth Rogen, also executive producing) broke into a safe and discovered the tape. Along with Milltie (Nick Offerman), he decided to try and make some money. “...
Keanu Reeves is set to start in an episodic adaptation of Erik Larson’s best-selling crime story, The Devil in the White City, according to Deadline. Leonardo DiCaprio, who acquired the rights to the book in 2010, will produce the project for Hulu with his longtime collaborator Martin Scorsese. Originally released in 2003, The Devil in the White City tells the true story of Daniel H. Burnham, the architect behind the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair, and Dr. H. H. Holmes, the serial killer who used the fair to lure his victims. When DiCaprio first acquired the rights to the book, it was thought he would star in a feature-length film directed by Scorsese. However, in 2019 DiCaprio and Scorsese struck a deal with Hulu to reimagine the project as a limited series. At the time, the deal was said to b...
On paper, Letterkenny seems like exactly the kind of show that pretty much no one would care about. It’s a very Canadian ensemble-based sitcom about the happenings of a rural town and its population — or as the show’s opening slide explains, “There are 5000 people in Letterkenny. These are their problems.” It’s full of ridiculous characters, bodily humor, a dictionary’s worth of slang (some real, some made-up), and running jokes that’ll appear several times in an episode or two, and then disappear for seasons at a time before a random callback. In other words, it’s a perfect storm to be an extremely niche thing that would get some attention on YouTube, garner comparisons to Trailer Park Boys, and then promptly be forgotten. But that’s not what happened. After debuting as “Letterkenny Probl...
Hulu has released the first look at its How I Met Your Mother spinoff series, How I Met Your Father. Starring Hilary Duff, the sitcom follows a millennial woman who’s single and ready to mingle in New York City alongside her group of best friends, all while her future self narrates the story to her future kids about how she met their dad. Sound familiar? The gender-flipped version of How I Met Your Mother also stars Chris Lowell, Francia Raisa, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, Suraj Sharma, and Kim Cattrall as the narrator. “It was hard to live in the moment in 2022. There was always someplace else you could be, someone else you could be with,” Cattrall narrates via voiceover in the clip, all while her younger self laments to her pals that she’s been on 86 Tinder dates in the last year alone. Relat...
On Wednesday (December 1st), a new documentary titled Astroworld: Concert from Hell surfaced on Hulu without much fanfare. For obvious reasons, its appearance on the streamer quickly led to social media backlash, much of which came from people who believed the special was produced by Hulu. “Hulu making a documentary about Astroworld is in poor taste all around,” one person wrote on Twitter. “People are still burying their loved ones. The legal cases haven’t even started. Great documentaries are done when all the facts are laid out. Not enough time has passed to fully discuss this.” In a statement issued to Variety, a Hulu spokesperson clarified the documentary about Travis Scott’s festival was actually produced by ABC’s Houston affiliate. “This was an investigative local news spe...
