Charlie Hickey Announces Debut Album Nervous at Night, Shares Title Track: Stream
Fast-rising indie pop star Charlie Hickey has announced his long-awaited debut album, Nervous at Night. The Pasadena-based musician will release the LP on May 20th via Phoebe Bridgers’ Saddest Factory Records, and as a preview, he’s shared the record’s dreamy title track today, along with an accompanying music video. At just 21, Hickey knows he doesn’t quite have everything in life figured out yet. On Nervous at Night, he details the limbo stage between blissful adolescence and the looming fears of full-blown adulthood. Michelle Zauner Shares Update on Crying in H Mart Movie: Exclusive
Michelle Zauner has shared an update about the process of turning her hit memoir Crying in H Mart into a movie. Speaking exclusively to Consequence around the launch of the Fender Player Plus Meteora on Wednesday (March 9th), Zauner, who performs as Japanese Breakfast, revealed that she’s knee-deep in the process of writing the film’s script. “So I actually just finished the first draft of the screenplay,” Zauner told Consequence by phone. “My producers really like it, so hopefully the revision process won’t be too brutal. And yeah, hopefully that will come out sometime in the next couple years. The Brian Jonestown Massacre are hitting the road this year. Anton Newcombe and company announced a 2022 trek across North America, with help from special guests Mercury Rev. The 2022 tour will be the first big action from The Brian Jonestown Massacre since the 2019 release of their eponymous, eighteenth studio album. On this run, the famously turbulent Newcombe will be joined by Hallberg Daði Hallbergsson on bass, Hakon Adalsteinsson and Enrique Maymi on guitar, Uri Rennert on drums, Joel Gion on tambourine, and Ryan Carlson on keyboards.
