After completing a one-year substance abuse program in May, Bam Margera has unfortunately been in and out of court-mandated rehab. At some point, however, he was able to appear on Steve-O’s podcast to discuss his battles with addiction and dismissal from Jackass Forever. Though the episode was just released last week, Steve-O explained in the introduction that it was actually recorded “a while back.” Based on the recency of Margera’s skateboarding injury in the video, the sitdown appears to have taken place a week or so after he passed the one-year mark in late May. With such a major milestone behind him, Margera was open to talking about his departure from the franchise. “Everything [was] meant for a reason and I’m much better off not being in it,” Margera said, after Steve-O explain...
They say wisdom comes with age, and with the Jackass crew getting a bit longer in the tooth these days, Steve-O has finally looked back and admitted the hit MTV series was not exactly a great example for young fans in its early days. “I think in the beginning of Jackass, we were genuinely worth vilifying because back then they didn’t have YouTube or video on the internet and we were legitimately a bad influence,” the comedian said in a Thursday, June 16th interview for Mike Tyson’s podcast, Hotboxin’. He went on to add, “When Jackass came out, little kids were showing up in hospitals all over the country and maybe the world because they saw us doing this crazy shit, and they wanted to do it themselves. So little kids everywhere got video cameras and started fucking themselves up…...

This year, the gang got back together after a long hiatus for Jackass Forever, and with it we got a brand new slate of horrific stunts. From a blindfold race to a condom filled with sewage, this doc has no shortage of cringe-worthy moments. But for now, here are the top 10. 10. Fire in the Hole <img aria-describedby="...
The stars of Jackass surely know that their gnarly antics aren’t for everybody, but Steve-O had to learn the hard way that Prince especially wasn’t a fan. On a recent episode of his podcast Steve-O’s Wild Ride!, the stuntman/comedian remembered that Prince was “a dick” and “condescending” to him when the pair first met. While Steve-O is now an easily-recognizable celebrity in his own right, he implied that his encounter with Prince went down in the early 2000s, before Jackass had become a full-blown phenomenon. On the podcast, Steve-O recalled a go-to party trick he’d often use during this era to impress A-listers, which involved balancing a cup on his head, then drinking the liquid inside without using his hands. “I met Prince one time,” Steve-O told the episode’s guest, Cheech ...
Over the course of his Jackass career, Johnny Knoxville has racked up an estimated $8.6 million in medical bills. He’s broken his penis, fractured his ankle, and suffered at least 16 concussions. However, Knoville’s most harrowing injury was sustained during filming of the latest Jackass film, as the daredevil suffered a brain hemorrhage after being knocked off of a bull. Appearing on The Howard Stern Show in advance of the film’s February 4th release, Knoxville lost cognitive abilities for three months. “I remember taking some tests,” he recounted. “The neurosurgeon said, ‘Do you have trouble paying attention right now?’ I said, ‘Yeah, why?’ He goes, ‘Because you scored a 17 on [your attention].’ That’s out of 100.” “I had to go under all these type of treatments,” Knoxville explained, “t...
Former Jackass star Bam Margera was involuntarily taken to rehab on Sunday after police responded to an incident at a Tampa Bay-area hotel. A spokesperson for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office told Page Six that officers responded to a report of an “emotionally disturbed person” at the Don CeSar Hotel in St. Pete Beach, Florida. “When deputies arrived, they were informed that Mr. Margera had an ex parte order, which is a judge’s order for court-ordered rehabilitation,” the spokesperson explained. “Those are taken out by a third party on behalf of the person.” Advertisement Related Video Last month, Margera filed suit against the producers of the upcoming Jackass film claiming that his exclusion from the project was the result of mental health discrimination. He specifically claimed that...
For 20 years, we’ve cringed and winced as the stars of Jackass brought the hurt on themselves. But how often have we thought about the damage they do to medical insurers? It turns out the number is almost as painful as the injuries themselves, as a new study has found that the main Jackass crew has racked up over $24 million in medical expenses over their careers. The study from Nova Legal Funding (via Complex) examined the 79 injuries incurred by six members of the Jackass team: Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Ehren McGhehey, Dave England, Jason ‘Wee-man’ Acuña, and Preston Lacy. The boo-boos range from 28 broken bones to one alligator bite. In total, NLF estimates that those six individuals’ injuries have cost roughly $24,263,000. When taking into account all stunt performers i...
Former Jackass star Bam Margera is suing producers of the upcoming Jackass film claiming that his exclusion from the project was the result of mental health discrimination. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Margera filed the suit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, seeking an injunction on the release of Jackass Forever, as well as monetary damages. Margera specifically claims that Paramount Pictures, MTV Networks, Jeff Tremaine, Johnny Knoxville, Spike Jonze, and other associated entities violated his civil rights when they forced him to sign a “Wellness Agreement” and then fired him after a positive drug test.
