Kanye West has been teasing a follow-up to last year’s Donda for a bit now. Now, in an Instagram post, West confirmed that Donda 2 is on the way and will be released on February 22, 2022 (2/22/22 for you sleuths). And, there’s a blockbuster name attached to it as well. “DONDA2 COMING 2 22 22 EXECUTIVE PRODUCED BY FUTURE,” West wrote in the post. Like everything, however, this just may be a lofty goal. In the not-so-recent past, West has changed and adjusted album dates and songs on the fly. Last year, Donda was released in August (after some back-and-forth with West’s label Def Jam). It was ultimately nominated for a number of Grammys, including Album of the Year and Best Rap Album. Prior to its release, West hosted a number of release parties, most controversially, the one in Ch...
Kanye West expressed his frustration at the paparazzi after being filmed arriving at Miami International Airport on Monday, as seen in a video posted by ET Canada. Kanye can be heard saying to the cameraman: “It’s just really one-sided. You guys can follow us, you guys to stand from the hotel at any given time. You don’t give us any percentage of what you make off us, off our kids. And I’m going to change that.” Kanye in Miami | Source: ET Canada The cameraman argued that, “without candid photography, there wouldn’t be a [documented] history of celebrities.” However, it was clear that Kanye’s main interest involved the right to royalties from paparazzi photos, rather than issues with the perceived invasion of privacy. “You know, N...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: @djkhaled / Instagram Kanye West and DJ Khaled have been in the studio working on what surely is a future smash hit (we’ll let you decide if there’s sarcasm there). Perhaps more importantly, Khaled hooked his homie Ye up with a very rare pair of Air Jordan 3’s. Of course, the gifting had to be shared on social media or else it wouldn’t have actually happened. The kicks in question are the blue Father Of Asahd x Air Jordan 3’s that Khaled officially cooked up with Jordan Brand. As Khaled repeatedly says, only 100 were made, and he also noted that he doesn’t have any left in the caption of the video. Related Stories Recently, Ye through sneakerheads for a loop when he shared a pic of the Jumpman logo and an old social media post from Michael Jordan’s son Ma...
Sorana and David Guetta have put a haunting new twist on a classic heartbreak anthem with their new single, “redruM.” Marking Sorana’s debut on Atlantic Records, the synthwave-inspired track is “an ironic POV on how dramatically people react” to breakups, she said. It was from the perspective of the heartbreaker’s next love, and pulls its melody from Ye’s (formerly known as Kanye West) timeless single “Heartless,” adding the iconic rapper as a co-writer to its credits. “redruM” comes paired paired with a music video inspired by cult classic horror movie, The Shining, putting the cherry on top of Sorana’s creative vision. Her cotton candy-colored version drops a heartsore S...
