Source: Splash / Splash News Yeah, Kanye West is really trying his hardest to convince his followers that he’s divine for real for real. With the return of his Sunday Service congregation, the “Presidential spoiler candidate” has decided to take things a tad bit further and took his family for a stroll… on water. That’s right, Yeezus walked on water with his children because, well, why not? According to Hypebeast, the stunt came after Pastor Joel Osteen gave a sermon at Sunday Service in Atlanta in which he spoke about Jesus walking on water and giving Peter the permission to walk on H2O himself. Well, it seems to have been part of a grand plan in which Kanye and his family re-enacted the scene and walked on a pond outside of Pinewood Studios to show and prove that he’s worthy of MAGA coun...
Running for president isn’t cheap when you’re paying out of pocket, and Kanye West has shelled out more than $6.7 million for his campaign, according to a recent filing with the Federal Election Commission. That hefty price tag might have something to do with the fact that the rapper’s only received $11,472.66 in outside contributions. A big chunk of that is going to consulting firms (notably Fortified Consulting, which shares the same address as Republican consulting firm Lincoln Strategy Group), to help get Ye’s name on the ballot. And that plan isn’t going great. As Consequence of Sound points out, West’s name is currently only on the ballot in 10 states after he was kicked off a handful of others, including his home state of Illinois. And that’s not where his t...
Source: Pool / Getty Kanye West’s Presidential campaign took another L. Yesterday (Sept. 4), a judge granted an order to removed Yeezy’s name from the Virginia ballot. Apparently, the “Power” rapper once again got caught peddling the jig when it came to getting the petition signatures needed to get on the ballot legally. Reports Raw Story: Richmond Circuit Court Judge Taylor was looking at the electors that were chosen for West’s bid because the people said that they were misled about taking an “Elector Oath.” “Two signed affidavits were submitted Friday to the State Board of Elections from registered voters who said they were duped into signing up to serve as electors for West in Virginia,” the Washington Post reported on Monday. “In a separate account, an Alexandria woman ...
Source: Screenshot / Youtube Kanye West has all intentions of continuing his presidential campaign despite the fact some outside observers believe he’s rigging the election for President Donald Trump. In a new interview, the Chicago producer and designer claims the Republican Party isn’t financially backing his campaign, then added the fact he’s richer than Trump. Yeezy, speaking in that measured, media-trained tone that doesn’t sound like the Kanye of old, sat down with Nick Cannon and the host’s Cannon’s Class program on YouTube. In the first part of the chat, West gets immediately into the chatter that he’s dealing with mental demons but it’s clear from the interview that he’s lucid and aware enough to recognize what his journey looks like from the outside. After a healthy defense of Ta...
Kanye West has addressed the speculation that Republicans are paying him to run for U.S. president this year to be some kind of distraction. “Bro, can’t nobody pay me,” West said in an upcoming interview on Nick Cannon’s podcast, Cannon’s Class. “I got more money than Trump.” The rapper also added, “I’m not running for president. I’m walking.” In the interview that’s going live tomorrow (Sept. 1), Cannon traveled to West’s mountain ranch in Wyoming to talk about his life, career and of course, his run for elected office. Aside from his sit-down chat with Cannon, West’s campaign is currently in trouble with Virginia election officials because voters who were identified to support his campaign said that “they didn’t know what they were signing up for,” the Virginia Mercury reported. This is ...
Written and performed by Chuck Willis and released as a 1956 single, “It’s Too Late” is a languid torch tune that verges on doo-wop — it’s prom slow dance bait. Willis’ singing and the over-stylized arrangement lends a febrile schmaltz to what should be a heartbreaking conceit: The narrator’s love affair is an extinguished flame. There’s simply no more there, even if the song — which seems to end before it’s even begun — isn’t all that broken up about it. Nearly a decade later for his Sings Soul Ballads LP, Otis Redding cut a drastic reinvention. The lyrics were altered dramatically; among many other changes, “you”s were largely replaced by “her”s and “she”s, so the speaker might be mourning his loss to someone at a bar, as opposed to a chagrined lover trembling in his bed. So too ha...
Source: NurPhoto / Getty Kanye West might soon have to dip into his billion-dollar coffers, this after a company he was associated with claims that he ripped them off. MyChannel, Inc., which specializes in video and e-commerce technology, says they helped West get his Sunday Service events off the ground. The Blast reports: “The founders of MYC reasonably relied on a series of promises made by Mr. West and other leaders in his organization that for six (6) months convinced them to focus 100 percent of their attention on Kanye and Yeezy, and to invest $7 Million in company resources for good measure. In fact, the MYC founders and other personnel moved for their Pennsylvania headquarters to Yeezy’s headquarters (first in California and then in Illinois) and worked full-time for Defendents, a...
Source: SAUL LOEB / Getty Kanye West‘s blatant spoiler campaign for President is taking all the L’s. The rapper won’t be appearing on the Missouri ballot after failing to get enough signatures. Today our office issued a letter to Kanye West informing him of the insufficiency of his independent candidate nomination petition for President. The petition was determined to have 6,557 valid signatures of the required 10,000. pic.twitter.com/vxOSk8WCD3 — Missouri SOS Office (@MissouriSOS) August 25, 2020 In order to get on the ballot, Mr. West needed 10,000 signatures. The info comes from Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft’s office, wh...
Kanye West has been sued by video e-commerce company MyChannel, which alleges that the rapper-mogul-presidential candidate promised to invest $10 million in the company, but didn’t and instead, copied its video technology allegedly for his company’s use. In the suit, obtained by SPIN, MyChannel alleges that in their initial agreement, it would provide “tens of thousands of hours in investment in Yeezy,” which is West’s apparel company. However, the company claims it was never paid for the over $7 million worth of work it provided West’s company over six months. It also alleges that in June 2018, West promised to make a $10 million investment in the company, which never happened. The suit says that he “reneged on his promises seemingly on a whim and walked away from the successful partnersh...
Source: SAUL LOEB / Getty Kanye West’s alleged presidential campaign just hit a major snag. Yeezy missed a campaign donation deadline, which hints that run for President is as struggle-filled as anyone with sense predicted. If you’ve been following Yeezy, and his album release dates, you know that missed deadlines have become the norm. That doesn’t fly when you’re running for office. Reports TMZ: Kanye, the presidential candidate, is required by FEC rules to file a financial report if he raises or spends $100k on his campaign. The filing deadline was August 20, but according to an FEC official … the agency hasn’t received it. So this means one of 2 things, and neither is good for Kanye — either he missed the filing deadline or he didn’t raise $100k … and how do you run for Prez if you can’...

After Illinois denied Kanye entry onto their November ballots TMZ is reporting that Yeezus was denied the opportunity to have his name checked out on ballots in the cheese state after the Wisconsin Elections Commission voted 5-1 to “exclude him from the state’s ballot because he did not file signatures and paperwork before the state’s August 5 deadline for independent candidates.” Even with the help of Jared Kushner, GOP operatives, and...
