The music festival announcements continue to roll in with Manchester’s beloved Parklife Festival next on the docket. After taking 2020 off in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the fest is set to return bigger than ever at Heaton Park on September 11th and 12, 2021.  The lineup for this year’s festivities is stacked, featuring the biggest names in hip-hop and electronic music. Following the success of his sophomore album BUBBA and his massive haul at the 2021 Grammy Awards, Kaytranada has shared an astounding amount of never-before-heard music with fans. Over 100 tracks dating back to 2009 have arrived by way of Bandcamp under his old alias, KAYTRADAMUS.  All of the music is packaged neatly into 7 unique bundles. The tunes range from remixes of “Bad Girls” by M.I.A. and “Blue Magic” by Jay-Z to entire collections of originals. With such a high count of songs comes a great deal of variety. Kaytranada has won his first Grammy Awards, sweeping the 63rd annual ceremony’s Dance/Electronic categories. The renowned Haitian-born beatsmith nabbed wins in the Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronic Album categories, taking home the hardware for “10%” with  Kali Uchis and Bubba, respectively. Kaytranada Drops Hard-Hitting Remix of Busta Rhymes’ “The Don & The Boss”

In August 2020, prolific rapper Busta Rhymes collaborated with reggae singer Vybz Kartel for the “The Don & The Boss” off of Busta’s Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God album. Made for the club, this single offers, big booming bass and the swagged-out Jamaican dancehall roots of both artists.
