Kid Cudi quietly paid homage to Kurt Cobain during with his wardrobe choices on Saturday Night Live last night. The rapper played two cuts off his latest album, Man on the Moon III: The Chosen, and during his first performance (“Tequila Shots”) wore a green cardigan reminiscent of Cobain’s famous MTV Unplugged sweater. The outfit also paid tribute to Chris Farley with a t-shirt donning an image of the former SNL cast member. For his second performance (“Sad People”), Cudi sported a long, floral dress. The bold choice was a nod to the dress Cobain wore during a 1993 photo shoot with UK music magazine The Face. The tribute was well-timed, as this week marked the 27th anniversary of the Nirvana frontman’s death. Cudi has long-admired Cobain and last yea...

2011: the year of Beyoncé‘s first baby announcement, “honey badger don’t care,” the launch of Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead and, of course, the release of David Guetta and Kid Cudi s “Memories.” While these iconic events have come and gone, “Memories” is back to see another day via a new remix from Guetta himself. Living in infamy in its premiere form, the track’s new remix perfectly matches its party atmosphere as Cudi’s husky tone paints a timely picture of the n...

Stylistically, the sample choice aligns well with the rapper’s Man On Th...

On his recently released album, Ty Dolla $ign included a collaboration with Kid Cudi that features production from Skrillex and Hit-Boy. Titled “Temptations,” the single is the second Skrillex collaboration featured on his new LP, Featuring Ty Dolla $ign.
