Twelve people will stand trial in Paris over a $10 million jewelry heist targeting Kim Kardashian West in 2016, authorities said Friday (Nov. 19). The reality TV star said she was tied up at gunpoint and locked in a bathroom after armed robbers forced their way into her rented Paris apartment during fashion week. After five years of investigation, investigating judges have ordered the case sent to trial, a judicial official said Friday. The 12 suspects face a range of charges related to the theft. No trial date has been set, and the official would not provide further details. Kardashian West’s French lawyer did not immediately comment. Several suspects have been released from jail pending trial for health reasons, including 68-year-old Yunice Abbas, one of the five men accused of carrying ...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Raymond Hall / Getty This past weekend Kim Kardashian took a second to roast her ex-hubby, Kanye West while hosting this season’s second episode of Saturday Night Live, but Kim isn’t done throwing a little salt on his wounds. TMZ is reporting that the Kimye divorce proceedings is still ongoing and a Kim will actually be walking away with the couple’s Hidden Hill’s Estate valued at roughly $60 million. Kim and her kids have been holing up there since she filed for divorce this past February so it kind of makes sense she gets to keep the crib that she and the kids have called home for months. Related Stories “Kim getting the home is significant, as most of the construction and design was spearheaded by Kanye. He worked with famed architects like Axel Vervoo...
The second episode of Saturday Night Live’s 47th season featured arguably their most famous host of the initial four episodes: Kim Kardashian-West, who really feels like she should have been a novelty host circa 2009, rather than a first-timer in 2021. Hopefully she’s just this season’s token billionaire—and hopefully that slot is retired from the host lineup hereafter. Wearing a lot of gloves for October, Kardashian-West didn’t project the same disdain for the world as fellow socialite Paris Hilton did in her infamous hosting gig, or the same discomfiting cutesiness as Elon Musk. At the same time, her version of being a good sport mostly involved getting off some shots at her family (and ex-husband Kanye West), and jokingly promoting her SKIMS shapewear line (the commercial for shapewear ...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: NBC / Getty On Saturday (Oct. 9), Kim Kardashian held down the hosting duties on Saturday Night Live. We gotta keep it a buck, that’s about as far as our interest goes. [embedded content] For the sake of archival purposes, the New York Post did report on Yeezy’s ex-wife’s performances, because of course they did. Kim Kardashian came out hot — in hot pink — for her “Saturday Night Live” hosting debut, boldly cracking jokes about how she’s “a Kim — not a Karen,” referencing her infamous sex tape and declaring that her “first black person” was OJ Simpson. But first, clad in an eye-scorching head-to-toe bodysuit, the 40-year-old superstar admitted: “I’m surprised to see me here, too. I haven’t had a movie premiere in a really long time. I mean actually I only...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: ANGELA WEISS / Getty The first hosts and musical guests of the new season, its 47th, of Saturday Night Live have been announced, and at least one person in the former group will raise eyebrows. Kanye West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian has been tapped to host SNL. We gotta say it—Who asked for this? Who suggested it? Besides Kardashian, the hosts, announced by the usual tweet of an image of dates and names on Post-Its is a murderer’s row of actors. Owen Wilson will hold down the season premiere on October 2, followed by Kardashian the next week and then Rami Malek and Jason Sudeikis on October 16 and October 23, respectively. For Hip-Hop heads, mark your calendars for October 16 when Atlanta rapper Young Thug will be the musical guest. The other acts slated for...
Saturday Night Live will return for its 47th season starting October 2nd, and the initial four hosts include a beloved SNL alum, an Academy Award winner, a Wedding Crasher, and a… Kardashian. Owen Wilson has been parodied on SNL plenty of times, but the Wedding Crashers and Loki star will finally get his chance to host on October 2nd. He’ll be followed on October 9th by Kim Kardashian West, professional famous person and “goth girl” mom. Then on October 9th, Oscar winner Rami Malek will probably get a chance to show off some of his moves from Bohemian Rhapsody, and October 16th will see the Emmy’s most Outstanding Actor, Jason Sudeikis, returning to the set that made him a star. Sudeikis’ return will be especially sweet. He was a regular cast member from 2005 to 2013, a...
Sure, North West might be the child of one of the most high-profile couples of the 2010s, but rest assured that her upbringing is totally normal: She runs around the house with her siblings, she visits her dad Kanye at work, and she goes through fashion phases that she’ll certainly look back on in embarrassment one day. In a recent interview on the final season of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, mom Kim Kardashian said the 8-year-old has officially gone “full goth.” In the interview, Kardashian discussed the varying budding interests of her four children. While her three younger kids — Chicago, Psalm, and Saint — are into more standard preoccupations like Paw Patrol and tiny Birkin bags, the eldest Kardashian-West child is taking an edgier route. “She’s into Hot Topic, and she puts fak...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Sheri Determan/WENN.com / WENN Kanye West cheated on Kim Kardashian while they were married, allegedly. Although the former couple agreed to joint custody and things went relatively smoothly due to a prenup, and the revelation of infidelity was made on a song off his Donda album. According to Page Six, of course, their sources are claiming that Ye stepped out on Kim sometime after they had their second kid (Saint West, born in December 2015). The scorching tea now being confirmed, allegedly, was referred to in the song “Hurricane.” Multiple sources confirmed the meaning behind the telling lyrics in the track off “Donda,” West’s latest album that was released with plenty of fanfare and controversy. “The song is in a way his testimony of everything he did w...
