The A-list actor and musician will have an option to star in one of the forthcoming productions. Concord, Skydance and Jennifer Lopez’s Nuyorican Productions (co-run by Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas) have teamed to co-develop original film/TV projects based on Concord’s theatrical catalog of musicals, the companies announced Monday (July 12). Warner Music UK has unveiled details of a partnership between Atlantic Records UK, Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) – Warner Music Group’s label services division – and UK Latin-based record label Candela Records. Candela Records, co-founded by Luciano Santana Pinto and Jose Luis Seijas, will focus on “developing the Latino sounds of London, which fuse the city’s unique urban beats with the sound of the Latin Caribbean and beyond, and on bringing this unique hybrid to the global stage,” according to a press release. The Top Latin Albums chart ranks the most popular Latin albums of the week in the U.S. based on multimetric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album.
