El Fantasma Collects Eighth Top 10 on Regional Mexican Albums Chart With ‘Guárdame Esta Noche’

Plus, Reik’s De México Arrives top 10 on Latin Pop Albums chart. Guárdame Esta Noche, El Fantasma’s sixth studio album, bows at No. 7 on the Regional Mexican Albums chart (dated Sept. 26).  The 12-track set was released Sept. 11 via AfinArte and produced by Bruce Torrescano and El Fantasma. Guárdame Esta Noche starts with 3,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Sept. 17, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, mostly attributed to streaming activity. “Having one’s album on the Billboard charts is truly an honor and a blessing,” El Fantasma tells Billboard. “It is another recognition for the work one does with so much effort and love. The set surges 15-1 the chart after release of its deluxe edition. Christian Nodal nabs his third straight No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Albums chart as a deluxe reissue of his Ayayay! album pushed the set 15-1 on the Sept. 26 survey. The original album was released on May 29. Summer has officially come to an end today (Sept. 22) but we can’t wrap up without figuring out what’s the best Latin summer remix of the year. In a fan poll previously published on Billboard, readers were asked to vote for their favorite summer remix, crowning Maria Becerra, Tini, and Lola Indigo’s empowering “High (Remix).” The eclectic urban pop collab nabbed nearly 40 percent of the votes. Elvis Crespo’s “Imaginarme Sin Ti (Remix)” with Manny Cruz and RKM y Ken-Y came in second, followed by Ozuna, Karol G, and Myke Towers’ “Caramelo (Remix).” “High” showcases all three powerhouses singing about heartbreak and despair. It took eight years for RBD’s entire music catalog, including all of their hits and chart-topping albums, to be available on all streaming platforms such as Spotify, YouTube, and Deezer, to name a few. To celebrate, Billboard asked readers and devoted fans to vote for the best album by the former Mexican group, composed by Anahi, Dulce María, Christian Chávez, Alfonso Herrera, Christopher von Uckermann, and Maite Perroni.
