Comedian Tiffany Haddish was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) early in the morning of January 14th. Via TMZ, she was allegedly dozing in the driver’s seat of her car, and the enormous smile in her mug shot would seem to suggest she’s not too worried about the charge. Reportedly, officers in Peachtree City, Georgia, responded to a call for a sleeping driver at about 4:00 a.m. ET on Friday morning. She was arrested for DUI and for improper stopping on a roadway. Cops told TMZ they also believed she’d smoked marijuana, though that wasn’t included in the charges. Haddish had a short stay in police custody; by about 6:30 a.m. ET she’d posted $1,666 and bonded out of jail. Nevermind baby Spencer Elden has refiled his lawsuit against Nirvana, weeks after a judge dismissed his initial complaint. Elden, who was famously photographed as a baby on the cover to 1991’s Nevermind, first filed a lawsuit in August 2021 against the band’s surviving members, Kurt Cobain’s widow Courtney Love, and Nirvana associates. Kanye West is reportedly under investigation for criminal battery after getting into an altercation on Thursday morning, according to Fox 11 Los Angeles and TMZ. The Los Angeles Police Department is reportedly investigating a claim that West punched a fan near the Soho Warehouse in downtown LA around 3:00 a.m. local time. According to Fox 11, the fan told police that he approached West while he was in his car and asked him for his autograph. The 18-year-old musician (born Kevin Perez) is accused of killing Oscar Hernandez, 24, outside of a Harlem barbershop on December 16th. The child abuse case against Alabama Shakes drummer Steve Johnson was dismissed last Thursday (December 16th). Per local CBS affiliate WHNT, Circuit Judge Matthew Huggins dismissed the case with prejudice, meaning it can’t be refiled. Back in March, Johnson was arrested after being indicted on charges of “willful torture, willful abuse, and cruelly beating or otherwise willfully maltreating a child under the age of 18.” He spent 15 days in jail before being released on a $26,5000 bond.
